looking for info on growing under led lights

Hello Burnardo (and everyone else!)
I'm new around here, this is my first post, but i've been around the block a few times!! I have followed several grows using LED's. For some strange reason they all end up the same. They start off very nice and compact, through the veg cycle everything looks beautiful, then in the flowering cycle they don't bud-up worth a crap! Which is rather strange because the little bud they do produce is claimed to be superior quality!
Being new here, I'm not sure about linking to other sites. Over at UK420 (that's with a "WWW." in front and a ".com" at the end), they have a few LED grows going on.

I also have heard the same things as T.H.Cammo. And I'm interested to see how tm21thc's flowering works out. I also wouldn't recommend LEDs because they're so damn expensive that it's not really worth it yet. You might as well spend the extra money in electricity using an HPS setup that is tried and true.

Yep, that was me! Have you changed your username? Or has my senility finally caught up with me? I'm affraid the Hipforums growing section has really deteriorated to the point were it isn't much more than the same old newbie questions, over and over! Time to look for greener pastures!
Anyway - I really hope that somebody will make the LED breakthrough that we all have been waiting for.

if you used all blue led lights in your veg room would you get the same results you would using fluorescent bulbs, just so long as you use the mh or hps in the flowering cycle
I have recently started a small grow operation with only two red L.E.D lights. The power source is a 9V battery, the battery used in smoke detectors and other devices. The one upside to the L.E.D's i believe is the fact that they dont use much eletricity.I'm able to keep the lights on for about 14 hours at a time and still havent changed the battery.
