Looking for strains that cure well

Jar at 57-62%rh for two weeks. Explodes in aroma maybe even slight change to it that. Smooth smoking. Bonus question, any good strains for doobies? I never grew one. It must also cure well.

Or just be smooth smoking in general, extra hashy is ok thats a good kind of irritation.

Kongs Krush by Green house seeds does it but will need variety soon if I want to keep people interested. Trying to grow for others too.

Plant count must be there so I only really have space for a couple but can save seeds and re-integrate them into grow at later time.

The first text describes what Im looking for, emphasis on every detail besides the doobies. I grew like idk 8-12 strains only one did this.

Some times its my fault over drying first few attempts but mostly just didnt have this.

It also does what Id describe as “locking in” the cure. Meaning the aroma stays potent even if you left jar open for hrs or days once it transformed in those two weeks jarring.

This is a very selective long process, hoping people know what Im talking about and can suggest accordingly. Of course it must be seedless smoke and well bred for that.

Never really searched for a strain, my first few found me and asking the community was how I found one possibly for my rosin needs.

Ive jarred on time a handful of times and just never got any notable change in smell and smoke. Like some are just harsh and/or arent smelly. Too grassy/earthy.

I know its out there as buying from store comparing a bowl to my stuff at the time. Store was much smoother like you werent smoking anything.

Then the smell, even if left open for days it retains lots of its smell. But the KK isnt good for doobies which are needed. Never grew one that stayed lit in joint even when dried crisp.

The KK is killer in a bowl or bong. Smooth and hashy, infact it yields rosin too. Oo I do have fullgas by greenhouse too. Anyone run that?

Try some gear from Sin city seeds or Humboldt CSI. You'll have to flower out and pick your best pheno. Grew Sin cities Scrumdiddlyumtious and strawberry gelatti(bonus pack), and found a dank keeper in each pack. Just grew out CSI's lemon party × purple punch, found a keeper. I clone all phenos during the run, flower them, and keep the dank shit. I only keep if it taste good, has proper effects, and grows well.

I grew Fullgas from greenhouse recently, got it as a singular freebie seed. It was straight trash. Had some slight gassy notes, but pretty muted overall. Would never waste time with that cultivar again. Greenhouse used to produce some good genetics, their flower bomb kush was awesome like 10+ years ago.

As for the cure/ smokeability, there might be a few things causing your harshness and funny burning. I've started drying my buds for a minimum of 14 days. Trim after dry, then they sit in paper bags for 1-3 days. Next step for me is jar with some burps in between. This gets my buds perfect, stems snap and the bud is still supple/fresh. This is all at 60%RH with temps ranging from 68-73.

The times I've had bud that doesn't burn properly:
* too much moisture, wont stay lit, dark ash.
* too much PK booster & calmag, wont burn right, dark ash.

I've noticed the keepers are loud regardless, before jarring. Couple weeks always enhances the smell. The good phenos are always gone before they fully cure for me lol. Smoking like a mofo

Maybe you need to look for a drying process and not the strain? Did you try the fridge?

My favorite joint weed comes from a variety of OG Kush I get from Triangle Kush Seeds

OG Kush dries and cures well and burns smooth in a fat joint. My second favorite is Presidential Kush for the same reasons.

I should add how I do things, I wet trim and dry herb shelf for 7-14 days until stems snap most of them. Jar test reading 57-62rh for 24-48hrs then jar or re shelf and repeat.

I know wet trimming is a no no and so is dry herb shelfing but it worked so well on one strain. I was convinced its a strain thing.

I had like an oz I portioned up into quarters some eighths and it was when I gave up and let them dry longer that it finally worked.

Then when realizing Im curing first time ever, I jarred the rest which was drier at that point. Still worked. Just worked no matter what when its almost too dry.

I dove into 100% dabs only and quickly grew just for that. So my request is what asking the right questions looks like for weed smoke. No seeds, smooth and smelly.

Doobie is a plus. I noticed breeders say doobie weed like its a strain thing too. Like all these things are and were bred for originally before anything else.

But lots of new shit on the market that will herm if a light flickers. So yea I figured Id immediatly be asked if its not just me but ya.

I been growing same strain for almost a year so I quickly forget I actually only ever grew more like 5 strains maybe 6. So Im not used to growing for smoke and not running the same strain to learn faster.

Maybe all strains can be sure but I be reading people talking about for years east coast teaching west coast how to cure because no one does over there, something like that.

I almost lost my mother plant but thought, are all those qualities bred into a strain and every pheno if this one did? And maybe being paranoid and need to run new phenos different strains, idk.

Il check that out though. To add I use a inkbird, humidifier and dehuey to keep 60 rh and 60-65F in winter or 70F in summer to protect dehuey from freezing coil. I use heat to protect it on a heat probe.

Planning things differently for myself, by the year, so at some point Il have like 7 spots 9 or more if to use the veg tent but no dehuey but winter time might be suitable.

I can run all kinds of strains. I havent thought of that. To hunt.

Should add my first grow outdoor greenhouse it was 00cheese by 00seeds. We didnt know aaaanythingggg. dried whole 50F mabe cooler 14 days stem snap. Dry trim jar for 21 days.

Basically followed grow weed easy tutorial. Wow if only I forumed earlier and knew we could of done better. A friend and I before I started my own.

Had a athsma attack for the first time ever in my life taking a .3g steam roller hit. Ive done it many many times never had this happen.

So the athsma actually helps with determining harshness that you otherwise may not notice. Idk wtf happened I got scared and thought Id never grow weed again.

So my harshness is not like a damn this is harsh. But its quite different in the homegrown scene. Like black market dealers and legal stores sell things that passed those tests.

Homegrown your subject to breeders that just bred whatever you popped. Can be an amazing thing in terms of flavor and potency but ya.

I grew up buying quality weed and even when it was mids or similar quality I dont recall it being harsh. I guess things change as you grow up and maybe more sensative to it?

Id say so but then again when did I start noticing the harshness? When I started growing I guess. So I grew up consuming things from decent growers and now legal stores.

Im referring to your lungs throat feeling irritated before the smoke does so. Something that would eventually turn into a chronic sore feeling.

Maybe Ive come across that before and didnt even notice. I know Ive gotten sore from partially seeded weed with mini seed tips. But non cured?

Probably so rare and small amounts that I didnt notice. Just recalling just before and after legal… Didnt notice smoothness until my own.

For what its worth someone said they didnnt like the 00cheese for being too harsh.

I got some weed jarred appearently just intime. Usually dont care as its not essencial maybe even better for rosin. Or else it will crackle in the banger from water.

So lets see what happens in two weeks. Im very familiar with her hashness. Like it was bred for hash and ooo it is good hash.

If you want a good stink then I recommend G13 Labs - Blue Cindy. I grew her the first time 4-5 years ago in my tent. The plants stacks huge chunky buds and smells like sour blueberry/grape candy when I was a kid. First time I also dried in paper bag before jarring, burping and curing. Months later it still had that same smell and taste. Last year I grew outside but freeze dried her this time. Holy shit does she smell like my first go around and she still pungent almost a year later sitting in my 1L mason jar

Yep just tested it side by side some left in grinder from time of jarring. Compared to fresh ground of 12 day cure since they may pick up tomorrow. Much smoother.

The initial was making my throat close (athsma) and the laddar was just much better. Another jar of 2 oz to stay closed for 3 wks to test that too.

I guess shes just a little tricky to cure its too easy to lock in the harshness. Not bad for 15$ an oz but learned I should grow stuff worth 35-50 an oz.

Want to say this somewhere here is best. Yea I was pointed out stores still sell oz for 150 and 200 Id say 200 is rare. Just looked they do have 175oz.

Its mark up though. They tend to discount them probably because they dont sell it all. Its no better than the 60-70$ an oz stuff.

Now 25-35 an oz.. I need to buy some of those see what thats about. When I was smoking they werent always good more so not that good.

Growing up people that tried to ask for more almost always were laughed at. They probably only had select people that were cash cows.

Im not trying to hustle or deal but breaking even sounds nice. Jumping the gun I should be cool with having a first patient casually talk to more people I know.

Maybe get another user. Im close to my first patient though they smoked as long as me just not as much. Theyll probably always be around if my prices right.

So the goal now is just have loyal users and practically give it out. It may stay that way or may lose that benefit. Its just all fun and games. May get what I want afterall.

Its not the price thats getting me its how fast I can move it thats getting me. I hate to over charge too. 2 or 4 ibs one or two runs and have 2 years to sell it at 35 an oz to break even if I recall right.

Try to find a 25% yielder in hash I could grow 5 runs for me 2 for two people doing 35 an oz a month. I could save up hash and go a year and a half not growing for me. Break even.

Id be dabbin on 700gs flower rosin just lookin for new users. New friends/users same thing I want new stoner relationships. Life happens and sometimes you just lose good friends.

Anything blueberry or haze usually cures well tbh your looking for strains that are not mono terpene dominant your after stuff higher in sesquiterpenes as those are the ones that stay monos have a lower boiling temp so after a while they ain't there so much

Yea checking local prices again I think I got potential to cut them out lol. Just a few people they were bound to never serve.

15 an oz is pretty ouch Im gonna try to see if I can do 35 an oz. The lowest I seen was 70$ out the door and 25$ oz but theyre already gone only one strain left.

And you never know if its gonna be wack which sucks we all got stuck with something wack before. Its so low I can see people not care though if they just want something to smoke.

Its not always there though. I only see one oz for 40 in the entire town. Weird how I thought some stores going out of business but their inventory says otherwise they must be doing ok again.

Then theres a store that doesnt have their own product anymore but they have a lot of strain. They are all over priced though oz for 280$.

I just havent looked for a while. Just in time!!! My normal store I go to is having a wax shortage! Nothing to choose and high priced. Only one strain for 12$ a gram.

I thought it was about to get better while I just so happen to make my own wax for the last 3 months. Just reloaded got 3 more months and working on the following 3 months right now.

Theyre probably not gonna see me again lol. So yea should just keep checking whats available its helping me decide what to charge. That makes it in my favor as much as the buyer of 35 an oz so Im good with that.

Crap I under estimated a lot. Half my math is wrong but overall the benefit of making my own still works. Rather its weed or hash. To break even though… To where all my product for myself is free..

Id need 54$ an oz. It will be 450$ electric and $50 in supplies so 500$ a run to make 2 ibs. I thought it would be 300$ so big difference as you can see.

Im just gonna charge $20 an oz for 11oz. It pays for itself and buys one of my plants so its in my favor too somewhat.

My fam isnt the market to convince to pay more type of sale. It didnt take much to find friends that would though. Just be more social.

After doing the math right I just cant break even right now. Might lose the sale too so the right price just assures they stay. I dont think Il find someone to pay almost store price.

Thats fine because I genuinely considered this just for fun and to be as generous as possible. Just quite the back and forth deciding price but thats it for now.

Id need great paying customers like I said which I could find but dont make it a goal. Quality not quantity and dont want to invite trouble and ruin everything just trying to do.. What? Caregive I guess.

If so then ya I should just see what life brings me each day. Be a yes man.
