Can some one point me to some forums,videos that are on diy rosin presses or some good pre made pressed for a decent price? Im looking to spend around $1000

Thanks for starting thread, I am in more or less the same boat, looking mostly at the manual press ones clustered around $500 price point and wondering how the value compares with the pneumatic ones that are at or around $1,000.

You should check out Greengenes Garden on Youtube. He's got a couple great videos on DIY rosin plates:
