Looking to get my first grow setup

I am looking to get the AC Infinity Advance Grow System 3x3 in size and 6 foot tall. The light that comes with it is the ionboard S33 is that a good light that will produce good yields? I am on a budget and was hoping it was a good light.

It’s a good light, imho, slightly under powered for a 3x3. The general rule is about 32-35 watts per sq ft. But it is a quality light, and it would grown good product in that tent.

Thank you so you think it's worth it to start out with. Like the yields would be good of course as long as I do everything right and what not.

Should work well for you to learn with. Perhaps one day you’ll want something bigger, but it’s a good light and will grow you some good smoke. Let’s see what others have to say.

Is there another light that would give the features available when used with the controller?
My thoughts are to use side lighting to make up any deficiency.
I am debating the fit and function of the 3x3 vs the 4x4 in my location.

I have that same tent. I've had it for around 3 years no problems. It is a very robust tent.
There are better lights to be had for less money but the ionboard will work just fine.
Next up is how many plants in what grow medium? I try to grow 4 plants but I like to keep them on the small side. 4 smallish plants will fill a 3 x 3 with wall to wall flowers. One large plant will do the same. You should be able to get 12 to 16 ounces every 4 months with minimal effort.

Keep it simple your first few grows. The light included will work fine for now....a stronger light will require your grow skills to be on point to prevent problems...Get the 4x4 if it'll fit or you'll just wish you did. Good luck!
Like any race driver would complain about extra HP, extra space is always nice.
Have had three tent grows and this is my second outdoor grow. Think at this point have a decent handle on it along with the two consultants I retain.
The real issue I have at moment it had a kidney ripped out two weeks ago and the staples are killing me and I have a 7lb lift limit.
The secondary issue that is causing the rethink of tent size, several of my outdoor grow has been destroyed by Lantern Flies....

That's what sucks about outdoors....between pests, heat waves, humidity off the charts, and everything else that comes with it....ask me how I know :wall:
Sorry about the kidney...hope ya heal fast!
A few good grows in and your absolutely right...time to start tweaking and trying things to see what works best for you. I played with lights a lot but landed on just using an over powered main turned down to plant tolerance and no more need for the side lighting. Look into adding uva and ir to your light spectrum for a boost in yield and over all bud quality.

Ya but on the other side (No not the dark side) the taste and quality of my outdoor stuff blew some long time smokers away.
I fought them much better last year with daily visits of the vacuum cleaner, but since I have out of service since June I am loosing.
Thinking about outdoor greenhouse this way I can let my birds do some of the pest control, Button Quail eat most things that move.
Just very sold on outdoor grows, and I will continue to beat my head on it.

What are you hoping to yield and how often? Are you a heavy or light user?

My clones same plant side by side were 3.3 oz per plant but needs to be 2.5oz to finish properly and on time in my 2x2’s.

I hate them and just thought Id share that if you want something more like 5-7oz per plant Id do 2.5x2.5 with 6.5’ tall tent space.

For both ease of growth and yield. So a 2.5x5 that is 6.5’ tall is my favorite. I have two of them. I have to take my 2x2x6 and 2x4x5 down which is a costly correction.

I got 14oz last harvest in the 2.5x5. I think I can get more.

Thats just with my first attempt at looking for a strain to get started with, perpetual clones that yield rosin out of 3 strains 2 of them I kept till this very day.

The 3rd one was a male so really right off the bat with a strain marketed for 450-600 grams per square meter.

The lights are very important too, I lost money skimping on cheap lights only to buy a proper one anyway.

Mars hydro ts1000 was great but Im trying out viparspectra for reduced fire hazard hopefully for the same quality or better in performance.

Im flowering in my 3x3x6 for the first time soon, going to buy a viparspectra light. So cant say. I grew in my 2.5x5 3 times almost on my 4th run.

Heavy abuser.

Got 1.5 lbs from last years grow. Was hoping to have more choice and quantity this year. I have one of my auto grows ready in about a week.
Didn't total my last indoor grow they came ready at different times, and my stock was running low.
Had a Maui Wowie that turned out to be autoflower, not what I ordered so no real idea of what it is.

Out to check on my garden and feed my spoiled birds....

Driver gives so good advice that hell end up retiring me.
If there is one ac infinity product that stands out as excellent its their full bells-and-whistles extraction fan. In a led grow specifically id say good climate control is more important than the having the fanciest light. Their top end extraction has controls for temps/rh and even vpd i think. If youre going to splash on something splash on this.
Their light can be upgraded without being replaced; you can simply add some strips or similar at a later point as a flower enhancement and make up for the missing watts, its just a tad bit light on power. But theres no way of upgrading fan without full replacement.
