Lost my fattest cola to but rot, managed to salvage this, would it be ok to smoke this?

I took off all the affected parts of the cola from the inside the outside/bottom part looks greener than anything I've ever smoked so thinking of drying it quick and saving some of the bud? Don't want to get F'd by the rot but painful watching it die like that . Harvested the rest and thinking of drying it quick so it doesn't spread.

On the flipside, I'm sure I've smoked a lot of questionable bud over the years, buying from dealers when I had no idea about all this

Any help is hugely appreciated, thanks

It looks ok but you really need to be careful years of smoking mouldy bud can mess with your kidneys also folk have gave themselves nasty lung issues as well any dealer worth his salt knows what mould is and should send it straight back if it comes like that if they still selling it they are scum and not to be dealt with again and for future reference it's brown and slimey in a wet environment and dry and powdery in a dry one (mould)

100% agree, I'm a lot more mindful now, scrapped the fattest one and happy I can at least sample some of the terps from that one : D
Just to be sure gave it a hydrogen peroxide wash as is commonly advised, can't hurt I guess.

Loll i smoked like 100g this summer , i cut it was mold inside i dried cured and deep frezed and smoked

Im in the same situation my conclusion Im still harvesting as normal just be super visual on fuzz. Will be spores or a scary amount of them on all the bud but a lot of it gets burned when smoking/vaping it.

Most weed has some level of spores and yeast etc and who knows who our hands were in during prohibition. Even post legal with pesticides. It would have to be lab like clean and are they going to toss a whole seasons or partial worth due to a out break?

I doubt it and were already were few recalls large ones. For hundreds years Im sure people practiced similar things outdoor were its most common. Thats just my take I had to really think about it. Im not immuno compremised which is very serious if you are but hell.

Ive smoked actual mold weed before as a dumb teen with other dumb teens but from what I read even thats fine but dont make routene.

When in doubt, throw it out.
My health is more important than smoking premature bud.

Ive never done the dust test but Id crack them see if a plume of dust flys out. If not it should be good.

I had to go back and do this with my last harvest when I got mold. It helps to be in a semi-dark room or garage and use an LED light to be able to see it best. The spores are like a superfine powder. You gently snap the buds, and if there’s mold inside, you’ll get a small puff of spores that comes out. I did it after drying and before trimming.

Yep. I chopped and tossed an Indiana Bubblegum and a Bruce Banner due to mold this season. I found lots of buds with the rot/fuzzy mold. It wasn't worth the risk to me.
Besides, I've got backups!

Im indoors where its supposed to be rare but its happening and everythings on point. I dont want to have to feel much worse than I do seeing it go down because I have to now toss the whole tent.

If I did I could never end up yielding enough to take a break growing. I grew 14 clones not seeing this happen so theres that but ya. The shit grows too easy. Same concept but with stores, there would be no weed for everyone if they did that.

They sell outdoor all the time. Id love to know how they handle it. I heard theyll pull plants but not the whole space.

10oz of some super dank clones, like 5 tops had it s small fuzz tucked inside not rot though. Super unusual. But I cut the one that caught my eye, saw few more. Over the next few days I cut out tiny bits and now I struggle to find any more.

All looks dank just molesting buds for no reason. Ok lets just toss 10oz 1/3rd my garden over it. Hell naw lol.

This is where it gets interesting, I have other tents of bud, is it a goner? Hell naw. Glad most of it is early flower but this is just how a whole facility could be in trouble with rh on point etc. Contreversial topic lots of fear mongering. Thats all I have to say Il keep my rambles to my threads lol.

Yeah I’ve had it show up in indoor grows before too. Even with running a dehumidifier and the hvac it still showed up.

Something ain't right there I've never had it inside sure I've seen it on other folks rooms with bad airflow and where I stays a humid country but with decent HVAC and a couple of regular fans for circulation you shouldn't get mould when in doubt go overkill big fans more air hard fix everything where possible

Il admit I took down canopy fans but never used them even in 2x2. Rh never passed 50% and plants fit snug not smushed on every wall. Ive pushed it up to 65rh and more bud. Only difference I learned how to grow fatter/tighter colas with this pheno. Thought I found the sweet spot and still may of.

Just top it where its going to fatten up. Maybe buy the canopy fans again but my bone to pick about those, unless its a tower fan its not moving much or doing much. Get my dehuey to 35rh and 45 or lower in tents. Tellin ya everythings fine as is here my plants. Only like half oz gone.

I use 6” inline fan/filter all vents open bug screen cut out so its flowing. Theres no bud below what you see its shallow. Yet its growing in the tips of the fattest colas out in the open. I could make them smaller but see Im convinced it can happen then too.

Pushing it to some degree is how I get by even when something messed up happens like fusarium wilt like symptoms leading to discard. Half a plant in one week dead. If it was over crowding it would be everywhere like Ive done before.

Packed a tree into a small box practically and let the dehuey shut off several times neglecting to setup auto drain. Nothing bud mold but if on top of on a good run after some experience hell its learnin to deal with it than running away. My home loaded with spores from food, the walls etc
