Lots of little bulbs, lots of little plants, and lots of little budds

I have recently updated my grow rooms, and haven't posted any pics for weeks, so thought I would show off where I'm at right now, cos I'm hella proud and can't show my freinds as they don't know I grow.

All my ladies are Blue Mystic from Nirvana seeds that I started at the beginning of the year. I've had one harvest from 4 small plants so far, and it loved it!! (only my second strain)

Now I've been experimenting with topping, plant height/veg time, and clay pebbles, to see what works best, and ensure that every 7-10 days get myslef a nice little harvest

This first picture is of my converted cupboard, 2ft x 3ft and from left to right we have:
2 x topped 12" plants under 3x30w 2700k, and 1x30w 6500k, 2" clay pebbles at bottom - week 3ish
1 x original mother that I threw in after chopping for clones under 2700k - week 8
2 x 14" plants, not topped, sharing 125w 2700k, week and a half
2 x 14" plants, smaller pots, no clay pebbles, sharing 125w 2700k and 2x23w 2700k - week 4

Just remember to not start counting bloom days from the first day of 12/12. Especially with cfls, I would consider 5wks of 12/12 the 3rd week of bloom in your case.

yeah I always wondered that... I used to allow 7 days of 12/12 as pre-flower, but just count from flip now. In that case, we're talking weeks 1-3 of flower then.

Thanks for the input

bongsmiliebongsmilieNICE! I built a stealth box out of one of the old big screen TVs with all the bells and whistles, and since u posted urs i`ll try to get mines up soon. I get atleast a cutie a harvest from 3-4 plants. IT`S A BEAST, and really does the DAMN THANG!!! peace out!

That has just made me realise that I need to stretch out what I have for another week so... and what happened to the Panda avatar?

Hahahaha, you have no idea how many times I have had that tolerance discussion with my friends over the past 15 years... but at the end of the day, I'm a total addict, I would just end up paying the ridiculous cost of commercial, weed, which just doesn't come close in taste or strength.

Maybe one day :)

some of them look nasty bro the 2 in the 1st pic
Yeah I had a little trouble with them as clones, but in my experience they'll be right as rain by the time they finish veg, it's just a patience thing. And if the worst 2 don't pull round, there are plenty more where they came from...it's all a learning curve

Here are some pics of 3 of the 4 plants from the tent after harvest. I took them down after 7 and half weeks flower (not counting first week 12/12), cos I had to make room for the next plants, and I have another 6 ladies near harvest anyway

They are hanging up in my new dry cupboard at the mo, so no idea what they weigh, but i'm guessing between 8-12g per plant...not great but two weeks early and watering problems i'm not too dissapointed, cos that's over an ounce, and they are super crystally....and from other reviews of the strain it has fairly low yields.

Here are the next 2 that have just been flipped to 12/12... I have to go down to a 2 plant rotation to keep the missis happy, so I'm vegging a bit longer instead and going for larger plants.

And now for the the next six plants.

The 2 in the orange pots (only 2litres) will be ready in about 10 days and look amaznig, they are swelling lovely and and are basically one massive budd.

The 2 bushier ones in green pots were topped and will be ready about a week after the 2 in orange pots

The lat 2 n green pots, but not topped, still have about 2 weeks

They have all now been moved into my 2x2 tent, with 300w CFL.

Hey Hettyman - great thread with cool pics & details! I love ur idea of a constantly rotating harvest - 1 quick question; do u always use clones to do this with or do u ever grow from seed?? If u do grow from seed, how do u overcome different pop-up times or some seedlings growing quicker than others?? Do u just top the bigger growing ones to let the smaller ones catch up??

Cheers in advance & best of luck dude!

I start from seeds when I want a new strain, then clone. The thing with all MJ plants, whether Seeds, Clones or more mature plant, even if they are all have the exact same genetics, they are likelt to grow at slightly different rates. This is a pain in the arse with CFL's cos you want all the plants as close as possible to the bulbs and getting a good light...The \nswer is simple, build up the height of the smaller plants by placing something under the pot to give it extra height (MAKE SURE ANYTHING YOU ADD TO YOUR GROW ROOM IS CLEAN AND BUGG FREE, ANYONE WHO HAS HAD SPIDER MITES WILL TELL YOU A LITTLE CARE IS WELL WORTH IT) I use Old cassette cases (yes I still have some) and things like that. Avoid anything metal as this is no good for the roots as they poke out the bottom.

What i've decided to do now for an easy life is take a couple of clones from the plants just before putting them into flower, this avoids needing the extra space for a mother. Also I have 2 flower rooms, one for the first four weeks or so of flower, and one (with a carbon filter :) )for the last few weeks. This means i'll be getting 2-4 plants every month

Hope this helps

besides topping do you do any kind of training for your plants? Idk why but I cant seem to get plants that look like that, Im only on my second grow but still, nothing Ive grown even resembles that kind of structure, lol

Stay Up

Nope, I just top about week before flip, and then work with the plant to position the lights. After about 3-4 weeks of flip I trim some of the lower branches that aren't within a couple of inches of the lights, so the plant concnetrates on what it does have
