6+ footer in bloom.
Today I noticed a ton of yellow leafs.
I know they drop some but IV had this issue before,

I use smart pots but I have them covered in hay around the base to protect from the suns heat.

Anyone? Is this something to worry about?
The feed and store man said could be normal for the time of year or could be dry in my smart pots.

65 gallon pots.
6 inch flowers (Not filled in)
MAXSEA - Bloom (3-20-20 once a week) 5 scoops per plant.
Fish infrequently, less then once a week.
PH 6.5
FULL HARDCORE SUN all day. I live in a rare place in Norcal with extreme high pounding sun.
101 and 97 past 2 days.

If I water really good and change up some food will the plants be ok?
Its not totally yellow and the plant is already fully developed with all the flowers already there.

Yep! The local plant DR visited and said 100% normal and I could use fish or this or that.... but fine.

He did find 3 that he prescribed 2 scoops of nitro food but the big flowering plants are just fine.

The feed store guy said:

Hit them with 16/16/16 Maxsea food

Hit all the rest with 50% 16/16/16 foor and 50% Maxsea 3-20-20

He said my smart pots are completely leached of all nitrogen and in our climet im WEEKS away worrying about the kind of aggressive yellowing.

He then said its the sun not Nitrogen that will keep the plant in check.

thoughts? He just said the yellow does not need to be as so agressive as I have it on some of my larger plants.

i would take all the yellow leaves off, it could be part of the plants reaction to get more light to lower parts of the plant.
