I am a few weeks into starting. I have 2 rooms setup a small veg and clone area and a 11 x 7 foot flowering room.

I have a small halide and 2 florescent grow tubes in veg and a 600 HPS in the Flower.

The strains that i have i was lucky enough to aquire as clones. I have no idea of the strain or quality. I will be running a rotating crop clones, veg, then flower.

Is that the normal position for your lights or are they raised for picture taking? They could be lowered some if not.

Using a 600 HPS, you probbly could have let them get bigger before flowering and you'll probably be watering frequently later in flower if you don't up-pot soon.

Plants look really good.

Just some stoned thoughts...

I have a small clone chamber located in the veg room in the bottom. These are about ready to pot...only a couple will make it into the veg room. They have destinations in other new grows. Starting in Montana is a pain. No hydro shops...No Nutes....Hard to find clones....It's just a matter of time till that changes :hump:

That is my normal position Do you think i should lower the 600...the room isn't properly vented...i need a barn vent or something on the roof...it keeps snowing...

The room with the small plants has a small halide in it...not sure what wattage...i have had it for years. I also threw the florescent tube light in there...it seamed to brighten it up a bit. I was planning on growing them for about 3 weeks and moving them over to the other room. Hopefully i will have another 600 watt by then.

The plants in the flower room came from 2 clones. Really it looked like charlie browns Christmas tree. They traveled over 250 miles on the coldest day of the year...I didn't know they were arriving nor did i expect them. needless to say i wasn't prepared so it is very lucky there still alive.

So lack of smoke, and the bushiness of the clone moms in my small veg room persuaded me just to get these 5 into bud.

These are the members of the small Veg room.

I have no idea of the strain in the small pots. I have some sprouts from some killer bag seed that was around here right after the war in Afghanistan started. I am hoping to rotate it into a crop in the future...im praying for a Girl

I am using some soil that i bought from a farm supply store. I really am disappointed of how little i can find that is usable in a farming community where i live.

I started with some mirical grow...i was not happy at all... and have had plans of switching to advanced in a crop or two.

I found this sight and read a few journals and have decided to go green. The posts by the 3 little birds, ohsogreen, and and kindprincess persuaded me to go green...read there threads and +rep for them

2 Very good posters to read if you havent had the chance
mrhoward marks and dr vondankenstien...

ANYWAY....i am using sunshine mix 2 bags $7.99 and 3 bags perlite

I started off with Miracle Gro all purpose plant food 12-4-8...I am going to switch to organic tea as soon as my order of worm castings and bat guano get here.

I have decided to go organic...closer to the way it was intended to be grown i think will be closer to right. I was going to go with advanced nutrients because of the good results that have been atained by some growers on here. But since i have a very low budget i am going to start with my own home brew fertilizers.

I ordered a PH Pen From seller

I am not sure if it is the same pen as advertised...Looks like a Tijuana knockoff? I hope not...it seams to work
Shipping was 3 days.

I ordered bat guano, and worm castings from

blue_mtn_organicsI spent about $30 there...the products were cheap i thought the shipping was a little bit high...but im tight when it comes to stuff like that. Plus it still hasn't arrived yet...its on the way...i have been tracking it. I would love to feed the flowering plants tomorrow.

I haven't recieved my package of shits...I was watching the mail man yesterday and I don't think he went on this side of the street? I put an envelope hanging from the mailbox today..I'll know if he stopped by today at least.

Its been 9 days since i transplanted into 5 gallon buckets....the soil is dry in the top inch and a half or so....I think it is dry enough to water tonight when the lights come on. Anyone have experience with big buckets and over watering?

I have a big trashcan for storing rain water in...it is much better then the tap water here...

Anyone that might have an opinion...how long to you think i can store the water in there with the lid on before it goes stagnant.

Maybe i should get a aquarium pump for it?

I have 2 fans moving air in the flower room...A box fan pulling air in and a oscillating fan pushing air in the room...

Is there symptoms of wind damage that you can look for?

I have a tracking order out on the ebay order...It was delivered to the post office right away...its on the post office.

The Clones have gone to new good homes. I look forward to seeing them grow in the future. :weed: :hump:

Today is day 14 of flowering...Some buds are starting to form...They may be underfed? I didn't see anything too bad so i have let them live off whatever is in the soil. The soil is dry enough to water tonight. I could really use that order of guano...but im snowed in today.

I think im gonna have to go with some plan food i have around here.

It is SCHULTZ 10-54-10. Those numbers seam high too me...im gonna go at 1/4 or 1/3 strength...any viewers have any idea a good starting strength with this stuff. I am also going to add a bit of mollasses.

There is still one more chance to get a delivery today...not a very good one but I like to stay positive.

I didn't think they could get damaged from the breeze....i had a couple of small leaves that looked like they might have had death by wind? Im keeping the fans on high

They were small leaves...I couldn't get a good pic because the hps messes with the camera focus? It could be the miricale grow....i only fed less then a 1/4 dose of 14-4-8 MG shit....My TDS pen hadn't arrived yet. I let the temps get hit 56 the other night....i forget to add the heat in there....We got some unexpected cold. I don't think its anything to worry about.

Today my order of bat guano is here. The seller had put out a trace for it...I thought that was cool of him.

I also ordered a bottle of Super Plant Tonic.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Super-Plant-Tonic-Organic-Fertilizer-Enhancer-by-BMO_W0QQitemZ250413749226QQihZ015QQcategoryZ20540QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262

I have seen good things on this site and i needed one more item to get a shipping discount. I hate getting robbed for things like that...I'd rather by more to get a better price any day. That is why i grabbed it...if anyone has used it i'm curious if it helped?

I just started brewing my first batch of organic tea:

-2 gallons melted snow
-2 teaspoons bat guano 0-7-0
-1 cup worm castings
-1 ounce Super Plant Tonic
-1/2 ounce molasses

I am very surprised how nice it smells...This is my first experience with organic tea hope this recipe is a nice one.

I'm going to feed 1 1/2 quarts per plant tomorrow at lights on....does anyone know how long I need to brew this for?

By the time lights go on tomorrow that will be 30 hours since i started it bubbling. :hump:

I was using tap water left out for a couple days, then we got a good snow and i collected some runoff coming from the roof, finally i went out and collected some snow and let it melt in the bucket...Here is a comparison of the waters:

Tap Water
-PH 7.65
-PPM 155

Roof Water
-PH 7.19
-PPM 008

White Snow
-PH 7.38
-PPM 30

I forgot to add a couple pics last post

I think that the damaged leaves were caused by being too dry? Here is a pic of the damaged leaves.

yea looks like it might be some deficency?, i would pd-down a couple gallons of water to 5.5-6 and give em a good flushing to make sure no salts are blocking the roots from getting everythignt hey need
