Lowryder AK-47 PC Grow

Hey everyone, this is my first grow. I'm growing two plants, just thought i would see what everyone thought.

My setup is a pretty simple PC grow case that I managed to put together.

As far as the actual growing supplies go, I am using fox farms ocean forest soil, fox farms grow big and big bloom fertilizers, and four 26 watt CFLs.

Here's some pictures of everything, the seeds are currently germinating (paper towel method) inside of the black cloth in the pictures. The black exhaust thing in the pictures is my carbon filter, I'm not gonna bother filling it up with carbon until things start to smell, but anyways, here are the pictures...

Feel free to post comments!

Is this a container you're planning on growing these plants in for the entirety of their cycle veg to flower?

Just a quick update, the seeds were planted on the 19th (2 days ago) just waiting for the little guys to pop out of the soil. Iv got the lights on their schedule and have been watering so the soil is always pretty moist, temps average 85 to 90 degrees in the grow room. I will post picks when or if the plants reach the surface. lates

I advise not to water anymore until they pop up and the soil is dry.

Since i made this mistake and my seedlings are looking a little yellow, i luckily didnt go too much OTT.

Alright thank you! One of them is actually out of the soil now I just found out, I'll be sure to keep the soil as a primarily dry but watered environment. Thanks once again for the advice.

Hey everybody, its day 6 from seed now. Both plants have emerged and have also been placed closer to the lights. Although this is going to produce a substantial temperature increase i am going to be receiving some new fans in the mail today that will help with that. Anyways, the plants are on an 18/6 light schedule and will be for the entire grow, here's some pics!

ANOTHER QUICK EDIT, ALL OF MY POSTS WILL BE IN BLUE FROM NOW ON!

EDIT: I have moved the plants back down away from the lights because of the high temperatures, really hoping that this will be fixed with the installment of my new fans.

you'll only need one fan untill it starts getting bushy in there. i would get that carbin filter black box and mount it on the outside of the box.. you can make a smaller one than that if you can't have something sticking out the back of your pc :bigjoint:

your gunna have a jungle bush in there pretty soon! i would look into low stress trainning, i did it on my first grow and was fun to do. also check fim techinique.. have you thought about making a little drip system with a water bottle? good way of keeping it wet but not over watering, as long as the drip is slow ;-)

make sure you dont over water and remember less nutrients is more!! good luck with your first grow i hope it all works out well

Hey guys, just posting a quick update. I got two of my fans installed and I have got to say they are pretty fucking nice fans, I highly recommend them to anyone, whether that be for your legitimate PC or your Grow Box, these fans will do the job. Anyways, they are each move 133 CFM and I have 1 exhausting and 1 intaking. I also moved my plants back up closer to the lights, temps are averaging 83 degrees up there now so there shouldn't be any real problems. Other than that they are looking nice and healthy and are showing good growth patterns. Heres some pics and a link to the fans, enjoy.

Hey everybody, its been just about 2 weeks since germination and 1 week since they have sprouted. Everything is looking really healthy. They are developing their second tier of leaves nicely. I am going to put them on a solid grow-bloom mixed feeding regiment starting in one week (The 5th/6th). Anyways, here are some pics of everything.

yeh man i have to hurry up and get my journal started, but eveytime i say im going to i start doing something else...im also in the process of building another grow box bigger than my pc box..i found a nice size box that fits in the back of my closet behind my dresser perfectly! thinking about continuing veg on the girls in my pc box then put them in the big box for flower...but i kind of want to run the PC box grow all the way through at least once as this will be my first time growing in a pc box...actually my first time growing indoors period!

Hey guys, just a quick post, I have started some LST on my plants so they should be looking pretty nice in about 2 weeks. I accidentally dropped my phone on one of the little guys while taking the pictures
Yeah... fuck, but I'm sure its no big deal, I didn't even see any real damage just a little bending, anyways, as i said before at the end of this week I will be starting them on their first feeding regiment, a somewhat light one at that, with mixed veg and bloom ferts. Here's some pics, enjoy.

Last pic is the plant i dropped the phone on.
