lst

So I'm about a month and a half into veg and was wondering if its to late or early to start lst'n. I growing 4 plants in my veg tent then the girls will be moving into a 9x5 flower room(tent) which will have 2 1000watters on them. I topped about 3 weeks ago. The reason I'm holding off is it seems the 2 new top shoots and main stem would not be strong enough to handle the bending, maybe I'm just being paranoid. Also I was only going to tie down 2 plants and leave 2 plants as is. Would I be better off leaving them all as they are(no lst) or trying to tie down at least 2. I'd say they're about a foot tall a little over. I'll put up pics when I get the chance. Thanks- Ds

yeah pix would help. I like to keep my canopy even. it makes better use of the light. new growth is easier to bend. but you probably know that.

I think I get your question. I have done, and think you can safely do, LST well into the flowering stage. Like right up to the last week if you want to move some growing points to get better light.

Ya I hear but these girls are pure indica and where stacked so close together, no stretch whatsoever... I even tried raising my t5. I'd figured because I'm going to have 2 1000w I would be able to tie down at least 2 and adjust the light as needed. I hear you on the even canopy but I wanted to try a little experiment side by side to see which could produce better results.

cool beans. experimenting is a good thing.

2x 1000w seems a bit overkill for 4 plants...
How so? Yes I could grow a bunch of smaller plants but I'd rather grow a few monsters and get excellent results and yield. I know someone down in Rhode Is. that grows a 1 plant per 1000w. He has 10,000w so 10 plants. His results are great, well over 2 lb a plant sometimes 3 depending on strain and with proper training. Well worth the high electric bill. haha

I know exactly what you mean your talking about. Its called "wishboning" and yes that can happened with lst...

Imo you havent lst'ed if you havent wishboned lol

Instead of pulling the tops apart to the left and right, cross them together like a pretzel...that way there wont be any chance of splintering them down the middle..

You know the peace symbol u make with you index and middle finger?
You don't want it like that.
Make it look like your crossing your fingers...

Peace
