Lumatek's advert reads :-
Lumatek's high-par output lamps are designed by the world's leading HID lamp engineers. These lamps provide exceptional performance on both magnetic and electronic ballasts. 100% European engineered and manufactured Lumatek's high-par output lamps deliver an optimized spectrum and high level of Photosynthetic Active Radiation to promote healthy plant growth. These lamps have strengthened seals and a reinforced arc frame to ensure that they will provide long lasting performance with stable lumen output.
Initial Luminous Flux (lm): 60,000
Luminous Efficiency (lm/W): 136
Color Temperature (K): 2,050
PAR (umol/s): 713
Photo Flux (phyto-lm)

Sylvania's advert reads :-
The Sylvania Grolux HPS bulb was designed specifically for greenhouse supplementary lighting. It has increased blue light and the highest PAR rating. This is the hottest bulb right now and is consistently out-performing the Hortilux. The Sylvania Grolux Features:
Extreme high light output
Improved quality of light : increased red and blue light output
10% higher photosynthesis flux when compared to standard HPS 'super' bulbs
High PAR radiation
Lumens: 60,000
color temp: 2050 K
I was/am contemplating using a 400w Dual Arc bulb..however I can only find 1000w versions..
Anyhow... I've since heard of High-Par HPS lamps, and rumours of new better ones soon to be available...
My question's are:-
"Has anyone used either of the 2 lamps above?"
"How do they compare to standard HPS?"
"Which one offers a higher PAR out-put?"
"Is there a better High-PAR out there (400w)?
Any and all light shone on this would be greatly received (no pun intended)
