Under Ca state law, in most cases, possession of spores with intent to cultivate psilocybin is still a crime. Some cities have decriminalized possession/use. The new state law authorizes use/possession under controlled therapeutic conditions and spores for research are covered. However I think there are some hoops to jump through to be a “researcher”.

makes me wonder where one is suppose to get mushroom without growing them yourself
my journey will not end here though im on a quest for a magic mushroom xD

If you join the shroomery forum someone would probably set you up with some free spores to look at with your microscope. Lots of generous cultivators there.

You could also buy a sack locally off the blackmarket, and bring the dried out mushies back to life again on agar. Basically cloning them.

Only thing with ITW is they only do crypto, so I had to figure out how to do crypto transactions and purchase the crypto then transfer it to them, but it was better than not being able to order anything.

Go make friends with people on shroomery. Then ask for spore prints. Then put the spores on agar and boom, you're good to go.

I believe (strangely) that you can get liquid culture in california.

I don't understand it because mycelium contains the active compound but I think you can probably get it. This is to your great advantage. It means you have a monoculture (probably) and your grow is quicker.

OP if you can get liquid culture then don’t waste your time with spores. If not, try a spore print and then look up pastywhyte agar tek. If you can’t see yourself doing that, then try Uncle Ben’s tek with ready rice and spores maybe. Good luck.

Freespore.com ships everywhere usually prints I think though they do have some cannabis seeds too you just pay shipping the idea is to add something back later at some point it's a good idea
