Maintaing a CDS manufacturing facility? HELP

Im probably in the wrong forum, but heres the story. Theres a closet in the attic that was lined in mylar and had a 600 watt hps light sealed in a glass tube, along with a fan sucking air out of the room blowing it through and over the light and out a vent in the ceiling. There were no other items in the room. I started the "project" when I was unemployed but then I got this damn job that takes all my time, so all work on the project stopped(never really turned the light on either). Long story short..... 3 months later my project was discovered by the boys in blue, they did find some bud in my bedroom and my roomates bedroom, about 42 grams. No seeds, no dirt, no hydro equipment. Alot of High Times/Heads/CC mags. I got a great lawyer who will knock out the possession charge no problem BUT he has no experience with what was found upstairs. Im officially charged with N.J.S.A.2C:35-4 "Maintaining a CDS manufacturing facility" What can I expect? Has anyone ever gotten caught with an empty room? Please dont tell me to go to NORML, unless youre Marc Emery or own some huge seed bank or a celebrity no one will ever respond. They do a great thing at NORML but their site isnt very user friendly. How did the men in blue find this? There must have been something to lead them to the attic? Did they have a warrant? Etc? Do you see what I am getting at? Maybe the reason behind the search will give some more people a better idea of what to do.

Confidential Informant said he purchased a quarter from me. They got a warrant off of this info.

Get a good lawyer, you'll need it.

Also, I'm just curious. What country do you live in?

New Jersey, United States. Ive got a great lawyer who can knock out the possession charge with no problem, but has no experience in "grow room" situations.

if your growing or planning on it i would suggest not selling, many people on this sight are strong supporters of personal use, and if u do sell off some of your grow, do it all at once real quick, that way ur selling only 1 time every 3 months about, as for the closet thing, just say they were for growing tomatoes in the winter so you could have fresh garden tomatoes year round

Saying I was growing tomatos to a judge would be me mocking his intelligence and I would be buried under the jail. Its like you catching me looking in your car and checking if any of the doors and me telling you im just keeping it safe for you. Would you believe it? I didnt actually sell anything to profit from it, 4 of us pitched in on an ounce cause I was travelling through Vermont and found something special.

I am no lawyer, but is that reason enough for a warrant? There must have been something else? What made them look in the attic? Is it an easily accesable place? How did they find things? Sorry for all the questions, I am sure you have had your fair rounds of questioning. Just trying to help you out.
