Making Green Dragon(pics)

Hello Everyone.

I've never made GD before so thought i would give it a try.

Starting off with a small batch maybe. . .a half of a 5th of vodka and a 1/4 of bud.

Its mid-grade bud. going to steep in a glass jar with rubber seal.
Steeping for 1 week then will try it and see how strong it is.
Useing smirnof(sp?) 80%.

Going to mix and make now. Going to bring back pictures in about 20 mins.

Supply's needed:
1)vodka
2)bud
3)glass jar with rubber seal
4)time

Step # 1
Gather your supply's and keep area clean.



Step # 2
Clean bud. I read you dont have to take stems and seeds out but I decided to anyway just because thats how I smoke it.

Step # 3
Put your cleaned bud into jar and add vodka.




Step # 4
Shake well(once daily)

Put in a cool dark place for a week, Then Sample!!!

I thought you had to make GD with a higher proof grain alcohol. I've always heard of using Everclear or anything else over 190 proof. Let me know how how it works with 160.

OooOo I read alot on some Green Dragon fourms and they showed that vodka worked perfect. That everclear just tasted horrible.

Plus Vodka is my choice of drink anyway,so I would have it no other way,haha.

But ya, I'll be putting up pics every day to show progress.

Plus reports back on the high.

Only off thing i'm noting is that it fizzes a little when shaken when reg. vodka doesint do that. Hmm.

Oh well. I'm Half way positive i'm doing it right. ha.

Where are you keeping it while you wait? I have heard that some recommend keeping in the freezer in a small box to protect from light, but I have also read that keeping it in the freezer will slow the reaction between the bud and vodka.

I have been keeping it at the top of my cabnet in my kitchen.

I was going to keep in fridge but decided against it.

I read to keep in a cool place, So i was thinking not to get it too cold : /

It has a nice color to it now, I'll be takeing another pic tonight.

Thanks for reading guys, Hopefully it will turn out good!!

Hopefully I wont take a shot then 10 mins later it will come back up!! lol. That would suck.

Anyone have any Ideas on Straining it?

Any Ideas on what to mix with???

Hey there, i have made GD before with rum it works pretty good but never could contribute enough green into each batch. two parts Mountain Dew, two parts Green Squall Powerade, and one part Green Dragon.or try mixing 3 parts sprite or 7-up, 1 part Green Dragon and a dash of honey or sugar

To strain it just put a paper towel over the top and pour out the liquid. It'll spill some but it's all I can think of atm.

Well, jesus man, the suspense is killing me. I love herb, and I certainly love booze. Pray tell how was the end result?
