He's guna reply to you saying .....whoops wrong pic my bad here's the wax. Lol.Looks like you made crack
I've always wondered what would happend if someone used sub par butane for making wax .....I don't make it myself I have but I got an old hippie friend who does it for me if I want some me and the few family members I grow for like the normal bubble hash ......but that's interesting to know that regular butane causes it to be white like that......is it because it's not washing the material correctly or is it exhausted of the impurities in cheap butane ......just curious like I said I do Ice water extraction personallycheap butane?
Yep. Your butane needs to be filtered through molecular sieve or charcoal prior to extraction.Oh shit wrong pic, that's my crack. Lmk... nah, I just did some research I think it was the coffee filter? I used a bleached one, that might be why. After I removed it from he glass and onto wax paper it was yellowish gold. Just wondering if that was why.
Do you recommend any brand of butane?? I used a weird one this time, I usually use twisted labs medical grade butane. But this time they only had this crazy shitYep. Your butane needs to be filtered through molecular sieve or charcoal prior to extraction.

Can you provide me with a link to this process of butane extraction ?No. I don't . It always has impurities that need to be cleaned out prior to extraction.
Yes that would be nice as all I can find here are the 4 pack ones for the stove, sure it's not the cleanest .Can you provide me with a link to this process of butane extraction ?
Is there any reports that show the impurities if any? I have always used the stuff that is in the bigger stove cans but doubt it's truly clean. It does produce some nice shatter after a warm water vacuum with a nice clean melt. How would you tell? Perhaps I better head over to the concentrates and ask a few questions. After smoking the stuff for 30 years maybe something I should look into lol.No such thing as medical grade butane gas but really impure gas will leave a sticky residue on your Pyrex dish. If it sprays clear on a mirror it's purified. The white crack looks like calcium buildup from the water that was trapped inside the plant material that you extracted; did you run wet trims? You can see there's good extract at the edges but usually if you picked way early & try to make wax with weak or seriously mashed up material you end up with this kinda shit. If you add heat you should be able to melt it into something you can dab; run a lighter or torch lightly under the Pyrex... if it lights on fire or explodes then it's residue from shitty gas...doh!. If it melts to a puddle it's calcium buildup. Heat will fix it if it is. Scroll all the way down to the Concentrates & extracts for a thousand links on this. These brands of gas are good to use:
Vector
Calibri
Power 5x or 7x
Stok
Newport
Lucienne

I've never seen any; all I know is the mirror test works. Spray a mirror & if it stays clear leaving no residue it's purified gas. No idea what kind of stove can you are talking about but most head shops and some smoke shops carry clean gas for extraction; look for brands listed. Who is filtering their own gas with a molecular sieve? Sounds like too much work to me...what ever you do be sure to vac purge your extractions; heat is not enough to get rid of all the tane unless you let it set for days.Is there any reports that show the impurities if any? Yup all vac purged and the cans are for portable butane one burner stoves so really doubt purity was a concern, I'll try the mirror thing, thanks!I've never seen any; all I know is the mirror test works.
