Male Pollination???

I have been watching my plants so close...so I thought. Today, after 3 weeks into flowering I found 2 plants that showed male pods/flowers. I put a plastic bag over them and removed them right away. Each plant only had a couple of the pods that I found...one looked awful swollen and ready to pop, the others were not as developed...but were definitely males.

These were soil plants. I am growing in a 6x4 room with 5 soil and 4 hydro. They hydro are only a few days into the flowering stage.

My question is...am I totally screwed? Did they ruin my entire crop and how can I tell or am I able to tell? What is the worst that can happen to the other plants? Seeds? Low THC? Bad smoke?

I am so frustrated! Bcz they only had a few male pods/balls are they hyrmephridites??? (sp???)

Look closely see if they were hermies or not...as an indication of more herm to follow....but it does sound that you have regular males and were correct to remove them from the existing plants, history of the seeds you imply future developments, did you get regulars or feminized plants.

To answer your question...No you are fine for now ...just stay sharp

Did the plants with the male calyxes also have female calyxes? Is so then you might have some hermie plants. It could be stressed induced hermaphroditism. If the male calyxes did not burst open, then your crop should remain seedless.

If the plants exhibited only male calyxes, then you had regular male plants.

Welll....apparently at least one plant was pollinated because I woke up to a plant full of seeds this morning. WOW that was fast! So the plant with seeds I assume is a female that was pollinated??? Correct? Any reason to remove the plant or let it go and put the seeds to good use??? If i wanted to clean the buds it could be smoked????

I know I sound like a newbie....but that is because I AMMMM!!! My last go round with this growing stuff was back in the 80's when ppl didnt know or care if you had male or female and if you had seeds, which you usually did, you just cleaned them out.
