Okay, this one got way ahead of me. After 2 successful dirt grows, I have made the switch to Aeroponics. Setup is an Aeroflo60 in a veg room and Aeroflow 36 in the flower room. Flower and veg both have 2 1000 hps.
So I plant away, and then this sativa plant goes all ape shit and grows super fast. I shove it in my flower room but now i think its way too tall. I cant budge it out of the rails because of the root system is too huge and has intertwined with the plant two spots down. A friend of mine said to just trim the roots, pull it out and put it in dirt, but that didn't fit within my comfort zone. If i was just going to kill the plant, I would just chop it down.
The stalk of the plant is huge and takes most of the 3" cup. I have had to tie down all the branches so they wouldn't be too close to the Lights. This is what the amazon lady looks like...
I was drowning her by accident and expect her to perk up today or tomorrow. Has anyone else grown an over-sized plant like this in a aero setup?
I'm not sure what i should do. I would hate to kill her, but if she is going to be miserable trying to flower, take a ton of work and have a low yield, I would rather put her down now and start over. Anyone else face this predicament?
Her neighbor looks great,
but lives in the last of the dirt dwellers....
Love this hobby, but seems to have new things to learn around every corner!
cheers!
