marijuana clones Vs seeds

Seeds are good. Clones are good.

If you really want to try a particular famous clone-only flower, I'd suggest just getting the clone if it's available. No need to hunt through a bunch of seed crosses or fems, just go straight to the prize.

For everything else, there's seeds.
What i find hilarious are the folk who can grow minted with clones but kill any seedling they touch i got a few mates like that idk how they do it but somehow they do anyways mate i agree though if your after a specific pheno clones are the fastest way i just prefer seeds myself each to there own i guess just mind the less seeds popped the less new clone only things that will will be found is another way to look at it

Yes - current grow has 5’ plants from clone- main stalk is significantly smaller than when I grow from seed at the same maturity- clones have the disadvantage of not having a tap root so they don’t get quite as big- however I am growing indoors with height restrictions- outdoors- with longer veg I would imagine that you would have bigger main stems
ya they really grwo much faster and larger outside with all that co2 and sunlight. i guess ill find out lol probably beast up nicely just be bushier

right? i literally once knew a guy learned a few things from that worked with someone that WON a cannabis cup and grew for years in hydro and soil. never smoked it but i heard from my friends and ppl that it was the best green crack and flower they ever smoked. and he could NOT start seedlings after 20 years of growing lol. he stopped growing cause he couldnt get clones anymore lmao. ive only ever grown from seed since day 10 years ago and i love my seedlings.

that's just it, you can't hunt down a clone only. there are no phenos outside of reproductions, which isn't the same thing. Related, sure.
ya you are right as long as its dank thats all i care about. ive ran DNAs strawberry banana looking for that strawberry pheno and never found it after like 7 plants. and it was like shitty genetics but theres that one relative in there that pops up if you can find it i hear its a nice one. i had regular seeds of it haha. and thats a fem only version or atleast what they sell only sell. looking back i shoulda pollinated and looked further. but after all that time and shit i just gave up but i wish now i woulda found it and crossed it to something. 10 years ago it was all regular seeds mostly. or atleast it was much more available. i loove the companies that keep seeds in regular natural form. the fem only version kinda screws the strains in a way

it's true a lot of clone only's came from fems. When you want to cross two females, fem seeds are the only option. Nothing wrong with that. Worse I think is people inbreeding the same handful of cookies grandchildren over and over diluting the gene pool.

I think the broader issue is lack of selection.

People aren't selecting phenos, aswell as strong males, and breeding towards specific sets of traits. This is compounded every time a new cross is made with these semi related, f1 hybrids.

I truly believe if these plants were bred to uniformity, they would make better crosses, even if they individually lose vigor in the process.
