So i have heard the idea thrown around numerous times that marijuana can actually aid in the prevention (or at least reduce the risk of) some types of cancer in the body. Ive always accepted that as true and used it as a great excuse to light up another bowl without ever veryifying the truth of these claims.
Well, luckily for me, i am in college, and currently taking a course with a pharmacological psychologist (that means he studies drugs) called "Drugs & Behavior." I asked him today in our lecture about marijuana if he had heard of these studies, and he confirmed them for me, and now that im home i found them on google. So, read these if you've got a few minutes and are interested, and smoke easy, because this truly is a wonder drug!
...now if we could only get our government to stop ignoring these discoveries and end their prohibition, everyone could be happy.
The first study shows how moderate cannabis use can lead to reduced risks of HNSCC (head and neck cancer), the second study explains how cannabis actually reduces malignant brain tumors (the bad kind) through THCs affects on a process called autophagy.
