i've done gdp befor it only turns purple late in flowing, the calyxes are green right up until the last couple weeks and the temperature needs to be low. have you grown any of these?

many of those will have a LOT of green calyx phenos. Only one ive seen advertised as a very stable purple throughout flower is Star Pupil. They have some other purple/pink varieties too.
Yeah like JoeBlow5823 said, most of the ones that do throw violets and purples phenotypes, most of the time throw the green phenotype and the violet / purple phenotypes are rarely found! For example I have grown Rainbow Kush like 7 times and I only once got the violet phenotype! But to me its still worth trying for because when you get it, it's pretty damn special! Well, the Rainbow Kush violet phenotype is pretty damn special!

yea i've grown gdp a number of times, even then not all of those turn purple even polinated some got a few thousand seeds then sprouted a hundred or so seedlings looking for a more indica dominant one that turned dark purple didnt really find anything worth keeping. it is indeed exciting finding something worth keeping. i've been looking at that star pupil one that was posted. i went on there website they have this nice page that talks about the strain with a link to some lab test results. im mostly just looking for bag appeal might be interesting to cross star pupil with something more potent. oh here are the links if anyone is curious.

I've grown it twice now, as well as their Putang....which also has the purple...well most of it anyways. Both are highly disappointing to me. I just grew them a 2nd time vegging longer because they are so highly rated by many, I gave them a 2nd chance. I have 4 Putangs nearly ready to harvest now. and they look like they have about half the bud I would expect for their size...and 3 of them have the purple pheno, 1 green...and the Star Pupil I had going hermied on me...it got yanked and given to my trimmer to vape! And they are very over priced, IMO.

I picked up Prayer Pupil and Mr. E. Those both look like they could be good. But thanks for the tip on the rest lol I almost considered giving them a try.

The man specifically said NON-AUTOFLOWERING strains. Also known as PHOTO PERIOD. What did you miss? Lol just kidding. Theres a fuckton of purple autos out there though....

Yeah, I have no issues with anything I've grown from MassMedical. Sorry to hear you guys didnt catch a keeper pheno.
I've been running a Lot of Katsu seeds lately. Katsu and MMS has done a couple collaboration projects and I ended up buying some of the PuTang x Original OG. I landed a pretty good pheno from that cross, so good in fact I killed several plants that night (I believe 5) because they didnt deserve the space I had saved for them anymore.
Honestly I love to have non-OG/cookies in the garden because I do grow so many OG dominate phenos, my tolerance to them is pretty high.

I too just ran a couple of Katsu strains and both were great, both keepers....Black Lime Bubba, and Dracarys. Both excellent.
