Hey guys, my doc decided because I have crohnes and have been having issues with one of my pretty bad, well actually really really bad like in the last 7 months I have gone from 160lbs to 80lbs I'm Not joking, or bullshitting but i live in fla the sunshine state where young people come to either party, go to college, or just Get into trouble, and old people Come to play alot of golf and die, but flowers here is still very illegal, so my doc prescribed me marinol not knowing that I'm already a pretty heavy smoker, but anyway my question is (i have done some pretty heavy research online of my own, but the internet really only tells you so much and either what you want to hear or only what you need to hear, so I guess my question is,,, does anyone here know anything about marinol? And don't sugar coat it or fancy it up, I have only heard of 1 person ever actually taking it and he was a random stranger I happened to give a cigarette to when I was admitted in the hospital for one of my chrohnes flares, , but we got to talking and he said they had just started him on marinol and he said and i quote "it makes me really hungry, kinda sleepy,, and hell of stoned and i fucking love this shit,, I hope they send me home with a script of this shit,,, hahahahaaa" end quote. Like I said though, have any of you ever had any experience with the pharmaceutical drug called marinol? And is it or was it good or bad? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

It's good for appetite stimulation. It's manmade pot - like they needed to do that. I have had patients prescribed it for nausea and to increase their appetites. No idea if it is psychoactive but I am doubting it or the VA wouldn't let their docs prescribe it in MMJ states.

All I know is my doc prescribed it for nausea, appetite, andpain relief. But I didn't get it filled yet due to insurance pre authorization,:???::-( some times insurance really sucks, its more of a hassle some times than it is helping, I'm sure I will get it figured out and pre-authorized like it has to be, wh I ch is really stupid to me.

One of my friends gave me a marinol pill. It was a long time ago, can't remember what exactly it did. I want to say it was like eating an edible but can't really remember because it was so long ago plus i think I smoked a bunch when I took it. I hope it works for you.

I really hope it does to, I'm running out of options before they long term admit me to either a serious long term hospital or nursing home in 6-8 months I went from 160lbs to 80lbs I'm looking like skelator my crohnes has litterally taken my life, every one tells me the grim reaper is litterally signing my final paperwork and paying the river of souls crosser to take me across to deaths gate, don't know if you were ever told the stories, but that's what I was taught from a youngster but anyway not getting all into death fairy tales and shizz, but they say death is knocking and ringing the bell, my mom is scared that one morning she will come to the house to check on me only to find out that some time through the night I decided to open the door for death one night while I sleep.it scares me to, so I'm hoping that this marinol helps me put on some weight and help me maybe be able to absorb a little more nutrients. I started drinking 6 boost a day plus eating. So I should start to put on some weight, thanks for you're good wishes, I need all the support I Can get right now.. Thanks:smile::wink::leaf::P(:o_O

try looking into cannabis edibles (cannabutter, rso, juicing, etc) :bigjoint:
marinol works, but your body might feel better with the ol' natural ways~

I can't, its Not leagal or easy to get ahold of, only way i could possibly get it is to make my own, and I would rather smoke my creations than eat them I only get 4 trees at a time due to space and being able to keep nosey and i do mean seriously law abiding will call police if they notice anything out of the ordinary and have nothing else to do But state out the Windows just looking for a reason to call the cops nosey add neighbors so I really would just rather grow my 4 destroy the rest of the evidence at my residence and smoke it, but other than me doing a bakers day at home with my own stash then edibles are impossible practically to obtain, and no smokers in my circle bake either so I'm SOL there

My buddy has had a marinol prescription for years and I eat some every once in a while. Since it's pure thc without the other cannabinoids it doesn't feel like smoking or eating an edible but it gets the job done. His only problem with them was how strong they were. They would make him very sleepy but they've never had that effect on me. Great for going taking a flight somewhere. A couple marinols in your pocket and you can get lit the whole flight.
If your insurance is going to cover it then listen to your doc. They don't prescribe that to just anyone let me tell you.‎

You don't waste the quality buds on edibles..you use your scraps to make oil n cook with it.

I know you can crush the capsules and rub the gel of the pill onto a cite rate and let it dry and then smoke it and you get high.

You can not get high on marinol pills for I have taken 10 at a time to try.ONE joint of pot will do you lots better to help you eat.yes I have had cancer befor the bad kind but as of now iam cancer free.lots of my friends has taken it befor and said the same as me it is usless pot way petter even brick weed.
