I stumbled onto this information while reading about Kush on Wikipedia. This was included in the article:
Congressman Mark Kirk, a Republican member of the House of Representatives from Illinois, introduced legislation to increase the penalties for selling kush.[5] The High-Potency Marijuana Sentencing Enhancement Act of 2009 (H.R. 2848)[6] would increase the penalties for the possession with intent to distribute, manufacture, importation and exportation to maximum fines of $1 million for an individual and $5 million for a group, with a maximum sentence of 25 years from the standard sentencing for marijuana which calls for a maximum fine of $250,000 for an individual, $1 million for a group and up to five years in prison.[7] Kirk said that as kush may sell for up to $600 (USD) per ounce these increases are justified, saying that "if you can make as much money selling pot as cocaine, you should face the same penalties." [7]
--------------
The last time I checked, we create and enforce laws in the USA in order to protect the freedom and safety of our citizens. For Mark Kirk to make a statement that the punishment of crimes in the United States should be based on their profitability, I think he should be banned from politics for life. If all of our law makers were as insane as Kirk, then robbery would have a harsher sentencing than murder because it's more profitable. And prostitution would have harsher sentencing than rape. Who elects these idiots?

Is Kush the governments choice of word for their "super weed kill your children" claims? In the UK we have unending campaign against the terror that is deadly skunk.

Its like inviting someone into your house, you watch them piss in your tea, and you drink it in front of them.

This wild and wacky world of ours, how will we ever get out alive?

Peace
