Hello all I'd like to welcome you to my garden. :eyesmoke:
Lets have a look shall we?

IMG_1852.jpgIMG_1858.jpgIMG_1860.jpgIMG_1863.jpg

So that's the state of my humble little setup from about two days ago. I've got 2 4x4 tents for flower and 2 2x4 tents that I use for mothers seedling and whatever propagation I'm doing. In one of the big tents I have a single Mars II 1200 from TopLed and the empty tent will be home to the two XGX-190s that I should be ordering any day now.

Now as you can see the Mars II tent already has some plants going and they are all diffrent strains so this first run won't be a terribly valuable side by side comparison. That being said next round I plan to do a full round of Girl Scout in both tents starting at the same time.

I have tons of genetics and I've never grown any of them so I'm really excited to try them. I ordered 30 different strains from Attitude over the past couple months. In the Mars tent I have Cotton Candy, Desert Diesel, Lost Coast OG, and some Training Day. In the veg tent I have a few newly rooted clones off the plants in the Mars tent as well as Pineapple Express, The Doctor, Girl Scout Cookies, DinaChem, Sour Krypt, Buba Kush, Purple LA, and Amherst Sour Diesel. The rest of my genetics will probably stay safely in seed form for a while but here's what I have.

Here are some updates from today. My Girl Scout Cookies seedling pushed her little head into the world this morning. Very exciting!

In the time it took me to smoke a joint and take a bath my Dinachem sprouted and is now above ground. What a truly remarkable plant cannabis is.

Defo need to pay attention to this thread.
My 1200w Mars II just arrived and I'm in the middle of setting up my first grow!
Using the Mars II for veg and bloom in a small but tall closet grow with 4 plants.
Will be following your progress my fellow Mars brother

Subbed Spiko! Setup looks dressed for success. Curious to see how your GSC turns out. My 4 forum cut GSC clones ended up getting powdery mildew on the leaves in just 60% humidity, and had to be tossed. Hoping it was the clone provider, and not the strain. My Platinum Purple Kush is thriving in the same rig.

Nice Set-up, Spiko.
I think the Mars will grow bud, but for higher yield, and higher quality of bud, the Area 51's will take the cake.
Good luck with this grow.

They're twice as much so I'm hoping that's the case as well. I need to pick up a killawatt to see what the Mars is actually running at. I think the 190s use less power and I'm expecting them to outperform. I kind of like my Mars so if the A51s are noticeably better I will be thrilled.

Forgot about this strain, Dinachem had all this hype up to release and then nothing. So I'm interested to see if she lives up to her "pedigree" east-coast roots....:weed:

Oh and I would bet one panel will really shine in this grow off, or at least provide better picture taking environment:P

From Attitude Seed Bank:
"Dinachem is the latest version of the mythical elite clone ChemDog, in the seed form.

To reproduce and enhance its vigor, we have used an original clone and we have crossed it with a select clone of Guava Chem, injecting new energy and vigor, yet preserving its delicious flavor of authentic original ChemDog.

The ChemDog has an incredible pedigree, it is the mother of NYC Diesel, Sour Diesel and OG Kush. It´s an elite clone isolated in 1991, in the East Coast of the USA.

The clone is 21 years old and has lost a lot of vigor, leading to a declining production.

We found interesting the project of gathering the quality of ChemDog in the seed form and bring back the vigor and productivity that every grower wants.

The GuavaChem (or GuayabaChem in Spanish), is the result of the 4th generation of ChemDog stabilized, grown by the same breeder for many years and is very close to be an IBL or Inbreeding Line, a genetic line very stable and uniform.

It looks very much like the original clone, available in seed, which allows us to keep genetics for a long time and also select the best to cross with the mother.

We have to acknowledge the participation in this project of the legendary breeder and creator of the strain, ChemDog, which has contributed with Guava Chem seeds and the elite clone.

From this batch of seeds we selected the most stable plants and best quality to cross them with the original clone.

Dinachem´s aroma and flavor is eye popping, getting your attention right away. It´s an unique taste, pungent and fragrant, like lemon mixed with petroleum and a hint of pine leaves.

Effect

Powerful, pleasant and relaxing.

Highlighting its capacity for pain and anxiety.

Moreover stimulates the appetite powerfully.

All these features make it desirable for both, recreational and medicinal use.

There is an extended believe, about this strain, that expresses its full potential when grown with chemical fertilisers, which we deny.

In the hands of experienced growers and cultivated by biological means is simply delicious.

Dinachem is a complex project made possible thanks to the work of many people in two continents, we hope you like it :)"

I got it as a freeby so I'm pretty stocked on it already. It does have quite a pedigree so I too am excited for this one.

My The Doctor seedling had me pretty worried but it looks like it's going to make it after all. Still nothing from the Pineapple Express though.

Still no signs of life from the Pineapple Express. It was open when I put it in the ground but hadn't really developed a taproot yet. I'm worried the seed may have channeled down too deep with a watering or maybe it's just a dud. I'm going to keep it in there another week or so but I'm not hopeful. If it doesn't sprout I think I'll just save my remaining Pineapple Express for another time as I already have way too many strains to play with.

put a bit of food in the res for the cloner. They're starting to yellow but that usually means they're using energy for making roots. I took some sizeable clones this time and they were all very vigorous tops so they should be full of life and make good clones. My plants will be ready to give up tops from my seedlings, first round of clones, and the Mars tent pretty soon. I like to top, UBT, then top again and let the middle fill. You end up with big bushy plants with lots of tops. But that also means lots of veg and lots of clones! I'm not sure what to do with them. I'm going to outgrow my space very quickly the way these fuckers multiply.

Took more tops\clones and did a bit of defoiling\training. The Cotton Candy looks like it's two weeks ahead even though these are all the same age. A bunch of plants in the nursery are ready to give up tops but I just got sick of doing it.

Looking good. I noticed the tomato cages on the older ones...are you using the Mainlining technique, or are you simply topping and training?

I am considering trying Mainlining next round. It looks like a good training technique.

What I do is similar to mainlining but it's sort of my own technique that I've developed. I top the plant and leave four main nodes. I guess that's known as "Uncle Bens Topping" though I discovered it on my own. A few weeks later I top those 4 main nodes again turning each of them into 2-4 tops depending on how the plant has grown. From there I selectively lollipop and defoliate but that's about it.

This is the first time I've used cages and they really make things simple. Rather than tying everything by hand I can just pull it under the cage. Easy peasy. I'll probably use cages forever now.

Thanks for taking an interest!

Subscribed.

I am going to order three of the new A51s pretty soon...in addition to a couple of gorilla tents...thinking about an RDWC set up.
Looking forward to seeing how this develops.

Peace.
