Im going to use this to post my experience with my official first grow. Ive seen many operations before and have tried to learn but i know there is nothing better than hands on. Im going to try my best to live up to my name and master this hobby. (I've kept saltwater reeftanks for about 6 years, hence the name : MasterReefer) :blsmoke:

Back to the intro:

I have an old school friend that likes to keep things simple also is the one to get me started
He recently gave me 7 bags of Roots Organic 707 ,30 gallon bags, and six clones (the ones statex on my title but there is 2nothing sour grapes).

So far i have put them on their bag and have moved them once. The new spot gets around 2 more hours so now its about ten hours i think. (We will find out exactly when the sun goes down)

As you may see I have started LST today. So far i have only tied the top. Living where i am i have neighbors that may see them so I wanted to hide them as best as i can. I actally already learnes a few things here.
Also picked up an excellent idea from a fellow member in a previous post. (Forgot his name) He sent me a pic with a cloth made be Reemay. Im going to use the cloth to keep them covered. Im thinking of building a small frame to cover my bushes if LST goes right.

But im mainly here to get your feedback and opinions. Im trying to keep it as simple as possible but still want to put the effort required to be succesful.

Ok. So its been a week since i started the LST and it does look like they are starting to bush out slowly. I noticed that the SilverHaze was not in best shape when i got the clones from my friend. I also think i may have watered them a little too much the first three days. Now I am waiting until it feels dry when i stick my finger in the dirt.

Also when do you think i should use nutrients and what do you recommend. All the other clones are looking good(each might have one or two small yellow leaves at the bottom) but i was also under the impression that they would grow at least a tad quicker. But who knows, maybe they will hit a grow spurt since im watering a little better.

Please feel free to comment and give input. Im open for suggestions, and hope to blow these babys up.

Just got my Reemay cloth in the mail today. Im thinking of building a small lean on greenhouse type structure attached to the fence they are next too. I dont plan on making it fully enclosed, mostly looking to cover the view my neighbors have next door(two story house). Ill post some pics as soon as i throw it up.

I have decided not to ask questions here bit just update instead. But feel free to comment or give opinions at any point.

Update for today is the purchase of my nutrients. I bought FLORANOVA,FLORABLEND,FLORALICIOUS, AND CALMAG PLUS. Started with "growth" off their chart.

LST is coming along well I think. So far i only untied for a day but i do see the bush effect. Will post pics in a week.

RCB I dont have anything to compare it with but I have to say I am impressed after only one feeding. Just got back in town and they sure look better for only 4 days. From my last feeding which I only gave them 4 gallons total I decided to go with 5 gallons and im guessing I will go 5 days.
Tomorrow i will also need to start my second tie down on the plants. Im satisfied with the way things are going.

No pic today but I just put an order on ebay for some Azatrol pesticide, says its organic?? Im not going to take any chances with the F'n mites on my first grow. Reason I bought it is mainly for prevention and I saw a few little bugs around, not sure exactly what they were but they were small. I have not noticed any leaf damage and hope it wont get to that point.
Other than that plants are looking kick ass. All plants are nice and bushy and LST is working good. Also plan to build a small structure around my plants to put up the Reemay Garden blanket as a wall to prevent any necks from taking a second look.

Back to step one. After 5 days in the other spot (check pic above) I decided sonce there was less direct light I made 3 of my plants preflower. I came to the conclusion because the 3 plants on the left ( when in the top less greenhouse) were in the shade longer and did not get much light. So now i chopped it up to go another route. Also decided since the plants have gotten a little taller they should get direct sunlight all day. Also untied the plants on the side closer to the wood fence.
Also notices my first tie downs were pulling up on the side of the bag, so I untied them all, rolled the bag down as far as I could and used paper clips tbrough the bag. Advantage is more airflow to the bottom.
Another thing I did today was spray them with Azatrol. I used a 24oz spray bottle with 4ml of azatrol. My neighbors have dogs and I dont any fucking mites
