Maximizing 55 inches height (4x4 grow)

Apologies in advance for my crude drawing!
  • What do you friends think about these dimensions?
  • Am I optimizing my limited (55 inch) vertical space by following this?
  • Anything should be adjusted higher/lower?

Really why is that? Im curious, why not just section off 2-4 parts of the screen -- an area for each plant? Wouldnt it be more efficient?

With one, that will be a huge sideways plant! Are you quite experience with SCROG @Herb & Suds ?

(I might have no choice but to do 2-4 since I wont have feminized seeds or female clones, and need to cull some)

One plant can fill any size screen and trying to get to the back of your cabinet to water could be a royal pain
I always did just one plant no matter screen size, just fill it up
Once you try multiple plants you'll understand View attachment 4664519
Nice! Damn that looks like a wet dream for me to have everything so neatly spread out. I have a trellis net up in my 2x4 and I agree.. one plant can fill up the screen. Mine stretches across 6.5 sq ft. but it's not as neat. My next grow (My 2nd) will be better from what I've picked up so far. Quite a few ppl on this site have been awesome.

I need a tighter net. This on works for now keeping the big branches up and spacing out branches. Gonna actually build one with some pvc I got in the yard. All I need to pick up are some eye screws and twine.

Lets see. You accounted for the space of the light. 16 inch tall plants with a buffer left for stretch which will double the height and you have that space with 12 inches between the top of the canopy to spare. Its seems most likely optimal. Great job.

Okay I will aim to limit to just 1-2 plants then for ease of access. Thanks for feedback guys, good to know that the vertical space allocation will be okay like this.

For 750 watts of LED (equivalent 1800 watts of MH-HPS) in this 4x4 can I expect 1500 grams with good genetics and co2? 2 grams per LED watt?

After doing some research into the lighting I have (250 Quantum Boards x 3) it looks like 18-24 inches will be most appropriate for flowering. However I can always reduce by dimming if need be. Thus I have made a few adjustments to the vertical space allocation.
