Hey everyone!
So I'm a new grower. This is my 2nd grow. I'm setup in approximately an 8x6 niche in our basement . I haven't spent alot of money making over what was a grow room my husband did over 10 years ago. I wanted to see if growing was a viable option (time mainly). So my lights are inexpensive and I made a CO2 generator with a 5 gal bucket, air pump, line ect ... (I went inexpensive to see if this was something I would want to do).
I have been plagued by gnats..I have fly paper down, apple cider vinegar, keep the soil dry and have integrated mosquito bit and still!.
I am beyond frustrated!
So my questions are
1) could my diy Co2 generator be the feedinCompress_20220227_111054_4998.jpgCompress_20220227_111052_2153.jpgg source?
2)I am about 62 days in from myplanting my autoflowers. And have some nice looking flowers. Is it to late to do a peroxide wash? And what do I add back in to my soil to correct the imbalance?

yeast and sugar rig for co2? when i run a air pump in those i get ton of foam everywhere unless i add regular doses of surfactant which is a pain in the ass just went with anaerobic this time i don’t know what it adds i dont have a co2 meter but cant hurt i guess and i’m getting a ton of bubbles everytime i shake it.

for gnats hypoaspis miles should do the work i always keep my pots wet with a lot of organic material amended in the soil but not many gnats. hypoaspis is a natural predator of gnats and diatomaceous earth would hurt them if you have them in your soil plus DE is really a very fine dust it would get everywhere with fans blowing so i’d try covering with sand as hydodan suggested.

Yes in a 5 gal bucket I use 6C sugar, I envelop yeast and about 1-1/2 gal of water..I have a fish heating pump along with an aquatic air stone/pump.. I've never experienced an overflow of bubbles from my sealed lid... but it sure smells like a brewery!

Try This:

Add 1-2 Drops per 5 gallons of water to your waterings. Kills the Larve.
No harm to your plants. Use sticky traps to catch adults. Between the two you will eradicate them in a week.
