Me + All my friends are in danger :(

Hey guys, how's it going?

Basically, me and my friends go to a private school, which follows the education act of the UK.

A few days ago, the headmaster of my school received a complaint from a parent that I've been providing other kids in the school with weed, and that i have been smoking it as well. However, there is absolutely NO physical evidence to back this up whatsoever.

The headmaster called my parents and me into his office, and said one more complaint and i would be kicked out...

So I've been doing my research, and I've found this article (a section from the education act of 2002), regarding the expulsion of students.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't 3)a) basically saying that if the headmaster wants to expel me, that i should have physical evidence to prove it?

So, dont say anything to them, just initiate a lawsuit anyways. Sorry, here in Amerika we dont need a GOOD reason to sue anyone. its how people amass fortunes here.

at least in America thats how it is, you are property and the school is liable for you, thats why your gonna be getting followed home next quarter/trimester(whatever) by hooligans that robbed people during the riots at public school

Just make sure to stay clean. Detox so if they piss test you, you have nothing to worry about. & this is a lesson learned to you! High school is the best place to get busted!

I've never sold weed at school, and i have never smoked weed in school, therefore i have never broken a school rule, sure i do that shit outside of school, but i;ve never done it inside school. If they pull me in and say that i'm expelled, will i be able to use the education act and say "No, you can't expel me, you need to have physical proof"?

i don't know about private schools, but i'd say you'll be fine. just keep your shit together and your nose clean. don't fuck up and leave a piece in your backpack or something like that. did you research the "education act"? i'd use the shit out of it if it comes down to it. i'm pretty sure, however, that you're not exactly going to need a lawyer.

They must have SOME REASON to suspect you (maybe being on this site has something to do with it. lol!). I'm sure there is a "catch-all" clause that states the school can expel a student for any reason they see fit. Not sure how the law works in the UK, but in most places you don't have a right to a "private education". Private schools are just that; Private! They can usually refuse to admit whomever they see fit so long as they are not discriminatory in their actions. Sorry, but your best bet is to probably stay clean for a while.

Man, if I had a dollar. Teachers/prinicipals/staff all hated me in high school once they knew "what" I was. I guess thats what I get being from a small town, and im sure private school is the same way. Solution? Be an angel at school. Make apologies, write letters, jump through hoops, be who they "want" you to be, so you can be who YOU want to be. In other words, act straight up in school, then people will be on your side. Outside of school? Hustle that shit and smoke til your eyes bleed if it makes you happy. High school seems like your world til your out, so go live in their world for 7 hours a day and do whatever the hell you want while youre not there.

Huge disclaimer: I know nothing about UK laws. What I have to say is pure conjecture and far from the considered and informed opinion proper legal council can provide.

That warning aside I am inclined to assume that private schools are not considered "maintained school." I assume the maintained part refers to the government directly funding the school. Given the context it seems to me the most logical definition. However this is where my ignorance of the legal system in the UK is hampering. Even assuming I have correctly guessed the definition of maintained school then I do not know if there are any other regulations that might apply regarding who they can kick out.

I would again assume that as a privately funded institution they have almost total control over who the admit or ban. Even if they are restrictions on the reasons a person can be expelled if they want to they will find a reason to do it.

Your on their radar and the best thing to do when that happens is to lay low and play nice until your out of there. I'm not saying you have to be 100% clean but just be discrete about it. My high school used to keep a list of every suspected pot smokers (funny they never seemed to care about the other drugs) and I was never on that list because I was discrete about it no matter where I was. Acting like a punk and waving around a piece of legislation that probably isn't going apply will not win them over.

Without admitting anything let those fuckers think they put you on "the right path." They will feel like they are actually doing something and it will get them off your ass. If the UK is anything like the US they can and do inform law enforcement about "troubled students." That will not improve your life.
