Medical Marijuana for Headache?

I'm a fairly new MMJ patient in Colorado. Close to harvesting my first series of crops. But I'm trying to find a specific strain that will help with headaches. I tend to suffer from anxiety and insomnia issues, so it's typically not hard for me to find a strain to grow to help that.

But my wife typically gets 1-2 migraines a week at least. And so we were trying to find a strain that we can grow targeted specifically for that. So any and all suggestions are welcome. Please keep in mind that we will need to be able to purchase this strain from seed.

Thanks,

Hi ThiCbuds!

Sorry to hear of yours and your wifes aliments.
I used to get migraines weekly also Sometimes it would take 3 days before I felt better just to get another.
But, since I have been using MMJ, I haven't had one. Knock on wood.

One of the best I found that works is Blueberry.

Thanks for the reply! I've ran across fairly weak blueberry strains in the past from non-MMJ dealers. But I just might have to pic some up from our new caregiver and see if his does the trick! Thanks for the tip!

As we all have diffirent body chemistry, I guess it is hard to say...
Weed is one of the few things that can give me a killer headache...luckily after at least an ounce or two... but it has never reduced a headache for me. YMMV

I dont mean to spam because I posted this in another topic. If you need good seeds for anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, even RLS* (though it doesnt do RLS for me, personally, they claim it does). Mandala Seeds have info on Satori here http://www.mandalaseeds.com/html/satori1.html. We have samples of local grown 100% organic Satori for Colorado medical patients, indoor and outdoor, as well as clones of Satori.

Personally, I find hashish is the best medicine for most ailments at night.

It's not too much of a night thing for my wife. Her headaches/migraines typically come during the morning/day. But the Satori could always be worth a try...

It could be hormonal and calm down with age.
One of the things I did was give up coffee and it did help for a while.
Also, maybe try indoor grown MMJ instead of outdoor and see if that might help her.
I'm not sure why there is a difference since I'm not up on how growing works, but I have noticed how some outdoor strains actually gives me a bit of a headache.

Yeah we are currently indoor growing, and that's primarily what we buy here in Colorado. Less than a month til we smoke our own herb! But i'll let her know about the coffee thing. She has been cutting back on caffeine, so hopefully it'll help. Thanks for your tips once again!
