Medical Marijuana in Florida at last!!!!

Listen up all Florida residents! There is a public initiative to legalize medical marijuana in Florida circulating. The law firm Morgan and Morgan is spending $2,000,000.00 of their own money on ads to gather enough signatures to force the Florida legislature to vote on a bill to legalize the use of marijuana for medicinal purposes. They need 200,000 registered Florida voters to sign the petition. You may have heard their ads on your local radio station. We may never get this kind of help from a well known, legitimate law firm again, so it is imperative we take this opportunity to do this for the needy and for ourselves as growers. This can be the day that what we all have dreamed of becomes reality! The day when those in need of the medical benefits that marijuana provides can finally receive relief, the day we can legally make a recession proof living doing what we all love! They are not getting nearly enough response as yet, so we must rise to the occasion. Mr Morgan and his sponsored group United For Care already collected over 100 000 signatures required so the Fl Supreme Court can approve wording of the initiative, then about 700 000 thousend registered voters signatures will be reqired by Feb 2014 to put the thing on the ballot in Nov 2014.
Florida needs all the help it can get, Fl is the 4th most populated state of the Union, by next election in 2014 Florida will be the THIRD most populated state passing NY.

If this bill passes the rest of the redneck and backward Southern States is going to fall like dominoes one by one.

There is millions of "snowbirds" coming to Fl every winter, many of them have Fl residency, they could help signing the petition.

I've heard John Morgan's radio ad a number of times. Something that is not posted much is that a poll was conducted and 70% of FL residents polled approved MMJ. Unfortunately the United for Care website doesn't keep the collection numbers updated (they are pretty poor about responding to questions as well). They are currently trying to get more petition collectors (some are paid) for the arrival of the snowbirds. The FL registered snowbird voters will hold the key to up the numbers needed to force the initiative onto the ballot for 2014. I've worked with one of the paid collectors and you would be surprised how many are willing to sign once you give them some basic facts about MMJ, we collected over 200 petitions in about an hour at just one small event. If you have the time volunteer to sit at a table for an event (some are posted on the United for Care website - facebook too).

I moved out of Fla 6 Months ago because of the MJ laws, lol. I'll pass this around tho... Good luck guys!!

Florida with population approaching 20 mil will be soon 3rd most populous State in the union.

Florida has 2/3 of current population of Canada now.

If Florida prohibition falls, the pressure on States still remaining in the darkness will be tremendous!

Is there a Norml Chapter in Florida?

Yes there is a NORML chapter in Florida, currently very active to change the laws and put cannabis issue on the ballot, but dinozaur republicans in Fl fight to their last breath against it, I guess their pharma and prison business contribututions will dry up soon. !!!

Now even people over 65 are for medical cannabis, they know they may need it sooner or lated.

Florida support for cannabis is 70% now, it's just not "if" but "when".... hopefully 2014 elections.

By the way I am not a libbie, or commie, been registered Republican for years, but will register as an Independent for next election.

The reason the ammendment was written that way is that 2 prior attempts to legalize in Fl were killed in legislature without any hearing. So they decide to go this way ( no growing allowed) to take lot of arguments away from the opponents.
Once is legal as medicine then next steps will follow.

If somebody who has prescription grows it and get busted, I doubt how they can seriously persecute this person, lot of ammunition for defense like "the patient could not afford it" etc.

Medical MJ without growing is better than no MJ of all.

Once the train leaves the station in Fl there will be no stopping it !!
