Not sure of the spelling, but I remember some really excellent & diff. weed they called Mesh Pecan back in the 70's. Anybody heard of this or know what it might have been?

That could be right, it's from Mexico. We were getting a few diff. strains about that time from Mex. Panama Red, Acapulco Gold. You never new what you would get, it was hit or miss but those three were killer.
