Do you need a ballast for these bulbs? Or can you just put them into a lamp, im not hot on the subject of these lights as I have mostly used cfls.
I am aware that a ballast is required to run the high wattage ones ie 400w and such, but could I get away with using these in a normal light fitting plugged into a wall socket?
