So this is my second ever grow, first time with auto's.
I'm trying to keep cost as low as possible with my setup, but here it is anyway:
-2x MI5 fem by Short Stuff
-3x 20w CFL red spectrum, 1x 150w CFL blue spectrum
-£1.60 B&Q compost, mixed with builders sand and small stones for drainage
-Tomato nutes from local garden centre

I'm growing in a cupboard which i've lined with tin foil and covered with a cardboard box to stop light getting in/out.

I've just put my seeds into some damp kitchen paper, i will post pics in about 3 days when the seeds have germinated.

Comments are welcome, try not to be to harsh though :blsmoke:

Good news, both seeds Germinated last night, the sprouts should be long enough so i can plant them
Tomorrow! Should have pics up tomorrow if i plant seeds. Only problem is my last plant is still finishing off, i hope she finishes quick or she'll be having 2 new room mates

Kay, finally got pics up.

I planted my seeds a couple of hours ago, but one of the seed casings came off the sprout thing inside of it? Should still grow cause the seed casing comes off anyway after a few days.

Anyway here are the pics, nothing interesting really.IMG_0114[1].jpgIMG_0115[1].jpg

The plant in the first pic is a good 2cm bigger than the 2nd plant. I hope the growth in it isnt stunted or anything.

Hope you all had a good christmas :joint:

The leaves are starting to look niice on my babies now. I'm still worried about the height of one of them, do you think the height will be a problem? the stem is only like 7mm long.

What strain are you growing mate? Yeah they have good leaf development for being just a week old.

Does anybody know when i should start using nutes just cause my soil is really shit and it wont take long for the little nutrients it has to be used up?

I usually wait until around the 3rd node of growth starts. Give it a week or 2. And when you start giving nutes, dilute them alittle bit so it dosent burn the plant

Wow, i'll follow this topic to keep a comparison in times with my ones, they're 2 weeks old.

Is it the same if grown in pot?

I'm very impressed with the growth so far. After how many weeks do auto's normally start flowering?
