I'm an intermediate level grower who gives marijuana to 3 people, 1 a heavy medical marijuana user; the second for anxiety and mild depression; the third for mild depression and use myself for mania and clinical depression.
The first med user, forum member Scareb, had been suffering from clinical depression for almost 3 straight years without a reprieve. He had seen 8 psychiatrist in the 3 years, one had dropped one medication cold turkey and strart another whenever it hit his fancy - the latest few believe in an up to 6 month with drawl period or serious side effects could occur.
Scareb developed middle-of-the-night Insomnia where he would wake after 3 or 4 hours sleep and not be able to sleep again all night. His health deteriorated quickly, he was an emotional shell, he had nightly vivid nightmares and night sweats.
On top of all of the regular adjustments to his scheducle (bed same time every night) he did these:
His latest psychiatrist suggested a White Noise machine which made things more restful but did not solve the problem.

.
The next step was to isolate the room, lock inside so he feels secure. My idea but pretty basic.
.
All this time his psychiatrist was suggesting sleeping pills, which helped many of my relatives years ago and still do, ever night. I had no heavy indicas growing so I took all of my plants completely amber and loaded him up with potent Honey Oil brownies before bed - 1 brownie an hour before, 1 just before brushing teeth.
.
First night he slept 12+ hours for the first time in almost 14 months. Some adjustments, some bumbs in the road but now he's down to one brownie before bed as a safety blanket and if I'm out of brownies he still sleeps all night fine. No dependence. Sleeps 9/10 hours a night now.
This was an absolute nightmare, for him and for me to watch someone fall apart like that, and it's been over for almost 2 months. Sometimes things work.
