Minimum Temperatures

Hey all, one week ago I put in 6 4 wk old (about 1 1/2 feet, topped) haze special plants in a perlite-heavy (75%) mix with some local clay, black limey hummus from some lime cliffs near the site and slow-release flower basket pebble ferts (14-14-14). The holes are about 2 ft deep. They are in a low lying area which is a minor floodplain thats why I went so heavy on the perlite. Covered their base with a lot of leaves for cover.

Planted around 41-2* longitutde

The question I have is what do you think the minimum temperature tolerance for these haze special are? I sort of "hardened them up" early in their life cycle by germinating them and growing them in mostly 10*c or less temps, with occasional "heat waves". The temperature in their are has been hovering around 6-10 degrees and it has been wet in their area. It went down to -0.1 degrees celsius for about three hours last night but now I think I'm out of the woods.

Anyone know or think they know whether or not my hazes survived the rain+cold? I two afghan gold plants which should be just fine I'm sure but these hazes are dear to me!

Cannabis doesn't like cold, but they can tolerate a little.

I think they'll be OK.

I had temps as low as -8 C last Winter('08-'09), but used a heating pad, in a green house. The plants suffered no damage.(Yes, some were Hazes.)

Glad to hear it, I figure if they haven't stunted or drowned over the last few days they should be amazing plants. May post pics of the setup its pretty cool the area is halfway between a creek and a flood meadow, planted in very very high concentration of perlite in the least "swampy" spots (basically followed the fiddleheads since I know they like constant moisture but not total soakage). I think that the time release ferts could actually do very well for me in this area due to it's fairly uniform dampness. And my plants have a one month head start this year (hopefully yield will be greater than a half l/b per plant for the haze special and around a pound+ for the afghani gold)
