I have successfully grown with Miracle Grow. Some on here swear by it. I recently changed to Fox Farms Happy Frog & Ocean Forest and will never go back.

When I used Miracle Grow for my first attempt, I managed to get a harvest, but after seeing what you can get with the proper nutrients and soil, I can see why people now frown on MG. When I used MG, I didn't use ANY nutes except molasses during flowering. I'd say transfer into some other soil and give it time to recover before giving it anything. In any other soil, I'd say flush the hell out of it, but some have said MG has things in it that re-release themselves when watered, so that may mess you up, but if you dilute it with another soil, let it heal some, then flush, then go from there, you should be good.

It's not a total loss. As I've said, I've successfully gone to harvest using only Miracle Grow. It's not great, but it'll do the job.

I'm not the best one to ask. I'm still figuring out all this nutrients stuff. :) Since I don't understand it all, I just got the stuff everyone suggested and went by the suggested soil/ suggested food/ suggested feeding schedule and the plants seem to like it.

I do know MG has a lot of stuff in it that will "burn" the plants. Are you using regular Miracle Grow, Miracle Grow Organic or the Miracle Grow Moisture Control? I used the Moisture Control stuff and did ok. I'd say just don't feed it anything but water for a while, and go find you some Fox Farms soil. I found it hard to locate, but you can get it on ebay and amazon.com. Shipping will kill ya, though, so go to Fox Farms' website, go to the part of their page that says "locate a distributor" and find a store near you.

Again, you'll get a harvest using straight MG, but your plant won't be pretty, your yield will suffer and you'll spend a lot of time waiting on something that could have been better.

My suggestion - pack up a bowl and read through this site. Everything you need to know is here. This type of growing is a science. After a few years of browsing this site, I can happily say I've grown from seed to pipe. I can't grow an edible tomato, but I can grow the f*** out of some weed. :)

Are you using miracle grow organic? If so, here is a MG soil recipe that allows you to just add water from start to finish.

This is from Blazeoneup at ICmag. That mother fucker can grow.

The soil mix consist of 1 bag of miracle grow organic + 1 bag of pro mix + 1 cup blood meal + 1 cup bone meal + 1/2 cup dolimite lime + 10-20% added chunky perlite. Im running 3 gallon bags btw this mix will fill 10 3 gallon bags.

Make this soil mix and transplant your plants into a bigger container. I like to go from cups=>one gallon=>3 gallon=>5 gallon for flower.

Transplanting will allow your roots to grow into a better soil, which will correct the problem. Then all you have to do is add non chlorinated water for the remainder.

thanks thalboy for the recipe. do you know if it is okay for transplanting from my MG into this soil?

I think it would be okay to just transplant to this mix. The problem will likely solve itself 7 to 10 days after the transplant.
