Misting To Prevent Spider Mites

I've read that misting can interrupt the spider mite life cycle. I want to prevent the little bastards from colonizing my plants and was thinking about misting every now an then for preventative measures. My question is, can I mist my ladies when they're in bloom with straight h20 to accomplish this or are there problems associated with misting now that I have some decent size colas growing? Thanks for the input.

well, i don't think the water should fuck with your buds. that's why water curing works. thc isn't water-soluble so misting with plain water seems harmless. but then again, how would misting with plain water prevent spider mites? you might as well get some organic pesticide/insecticide.

Do you have mites yet?

I don't know where you live, how humid it is, or how much mold is a concern but why not consider neem oil? It is harmless and from what I gather will not alter the taste. It prevents many kinds of bugs including mites and the likely molds(I think). From what I gather it's safe on buds too. I think you stop the neem at least one week before harvest.

Spider mites like a dry climate so misting will slow down (at least) their life cycle. If you mist mist in the morning or before the lights come on. This will give the plants all day to dry up preventing mold. Keep your humidity around 40% this is also suppose to help
