Anyone have any plans for outdoor grows in MN this year?

I will be Putting out Super Lemon Haze, Blue Cheese, and Phatt Fruity out in west central MN around the end of May.

Just wondering if anyone else is gonna be under the sun in the land of 10,000 lakes in 2010:leaf:

yeah bud! ive been looking for a mn post on this site! glad to see your start date. Its my first time n ive heard so many different times to start. i was also thinking late may since its still chilly n the suns not too intense. Any trade secrets to know for a good harvest in the best state in the us? ;)

Hey Marco and Beaner, Good to see some others gonna try it outdoors in this beautiful state. Any plans for strains you're gonna try as the season can be quite short?

I've heard good things about both of those. Tomorrow I think I'm gonna try to get out to my spot, I've already dug the holes, but now I'm gonna add perlite and blood meal and maybe bone meal also. I just wanna get that stuff in before I put the plants out so there is less of a chance they will be dug up by some critters.

well it sounds like you picked some winners, I think autos are a good idea for this area, never tried them myself. I've got a good feeling about this year though!

Yeah im just hoping i can get a decent yeild off them. im putting them in the ground today, it looks like one plant is already budding at a month and half?? thought it was leaf growth but i think one of the autos made it. Im getting a camera in the next couple so i will have pics of where i started them under my fish tank( Very good spot i must say), and pics of the plants. Anyone using nutrients?

Well I finally made it out to the plot today, I added perlite, and some blood meal to the soil that I had put out about a month ago. Pretty nice day definitely was sweating, mosquitoes were not really out yet, but the wood ticks are really bad had one on my shoulder that just wouldn't let go.

Plants have been in the ground 4 or 5 days now. I have 3 plants grouped in one spot that gets alot of light, then 4 plants in the woods grouped in twos that get moderate light throughout the day. I checked on the 4 in the woods yesterday and they had fattened up and grown a couple inches, the only problem ive run into is all the nosey deer that are walking inches away from my plants and disturbing them. I put a little of my Goldens hair around the area, pissed a bit and had a string of fishing line wrapped around the perimeter. Does anyone know of an effective, discrete solution for keeping away these Deer???

Oh they exist! i have been looking for a MN growers thread, this is my first year growing hoping it turns out good. I already have a few 3-4week old seedlings outside in my "patch in progress" but they are coming along slowly due to this hectic spontaneous weather we have been getting. Another note, i am trying to find effective means of keeping deer away, i wana put up 4ft tall chicken wire fencing, but it kinda takes away from the stealth :/

Yep there's a few of us, I looked around for a while too couldn't find any info so I made this thread. I have seen a lot of deer trails around my spot no actual deer tho. I wanted to wait until there was plenty of other vegetation for them to eat instead of my ladies. I've got a nice clearing in some trees that runs east to west on a south facing hill so they will get direct light pretty much all day.

What are you running for strains ICantBelieveItsNotBud?
