Moby Dick and Original Amnesia. Gone dual spec and results. wow!

Hi everybody. Hope your not to cold at the moment as here in UK its bloody freezing. Anyway, I'm just posting this to see what results others have had with dual spec HPS. Never used before and I have been growing on and off for 25 years and am a little old fashioned when it comes to growing equipment as I've always done it how its worked for me. OK, So about 6 months ago I thought I should replace my original stuff that I have had since 1991. Here is what I now have-: 600w maxibright magnetic ballast.(lovely and quite)
600w sunmaster dual spec.
Ajust-a-wings avenger reflector. NOT a cheap copy. (what a reflector)
Ramair 370m3 PH inline fan. 2 speed. (awesome fan)
Black orchid grow tent. 1.2 x 1.2 x 2.0 (Fab quality)
Biobizz all mix with a LITTLE extra Biobizz worm humus for grow medium.
21c-26c during their day and 15c-12c night. inline fan is never off.
EWT thermostatic fan heater to control temps.
Also decided to use pound shop nutes cos for a pound a bottle I had to try it. And I have to say it was doing so well I purchased enough to last about 6 years.
Anyway the plants are only two. The one on the left is Original amnesia and the other is Moby dick. Both from Dinafem.org. They are 4 weeks into flower. Vegged for 4 weeks with same dual spec bulb (first grow for this new bulb) Anyway what do you think? Personally I'm blown away. These, so far, are by far the best grow I have had. Beautiful looking ladies and I'm so very proud of them at this moment. They are in tent outside in metal shed so heat at the mo is no issue, in fact its working out fantastically well. So, is it good strain? Good reflector? good nutes, medium, etc.... that is getting me these results? cos i don't want to start experimenting with my stuff just to see what I take away that makes them... shall we say "less of a plant". Cos I'm a curious mind and I will. so I must not! lol. Here are a few pics taken this morning on first strike of the light for the day. Hope you enjoy the pics. I'm pretty sure its the dual spec during flower that has made these sativa dominant plants so squat and bushy. Safe to say i am pretty happy with the dual spec.

Unscrewed the dual spec (1st Feb) put in super HPS deluxe. This is to see if it slows the continuous growth of green. Hopefully fill buds to a better fatness and a slight stretch to bring main colas away from zone B (middle area of plant) then after first week I will defoliate a lot of the internal leaves in zone B to allow more light penetration. will update photos in a few days.

Scrog with a good swap of the bulb could be a crazy grow under your conditions I would think. I'm all new to all this growing stuff lol

Yeah, will definitely do a scrog again next grow. These were 2 seeds left over from a dinafem collectors pack. The pack contained 2x Moby Dick. 2x Strawberry Amnesia. 2x Original Amnesia and my freebie was cheese x1. I grew out 1x MD 1x OA 2x SA and the cheese. Had heat issues with that grow. The MD and the OA completely messed up (but got a good bit of crystals so made some hash outta that. the SA and the cheese was a great smoke and had good buds, if a little on the light side not fluffy but not so dense. Funnily the cheese came out the best, better bud density and REAL nice taste and stone but again heat issue told on yield as well as losing the MD and OA, But i was still happy with the end smoke. Changed locations this time around and the difference is like night and day. As you can see, these are the very 2 that in my last grow went to 8ft tall, no buds just a tall couple of thin, tall, lanky ladies with crystal dust all over them. Yet their younger siblings are as pictured here. TEMPS! so important.

Too bad you cant scrog and add the 2nd 600 watt lol ...temps wouldnt be an issue then

Temp issues only let me down last grow, too high. (through various issues) Temps now god and constant. Yeah, was looking into adding the other light but the Adjust-a-Wing is so big I dont have much room, especially to hang from middle as the other hood is there. And 600w is a good light for the size tent and with only the 2 plants. I did top these once and thought I would just let em go. working on new pics today.

Here are some pics that I have just took now. As you can see I have not removed all the internal leaves. I have removed A LOT but the HPS has only been in 3 days so will let it run to the original week intended then have another good look at them. Plenty of bud growth in there though.They are turned daily. They still have 4/5 weeks left so I'm not busting to get in there and rob it of its leaves if there's not quite the need YET. And am willing to let them go a week longer if I feel they could benefit. Same as before, Original amnesia on left, (taller) Moby dick the other more squat and bushy. Definitely a more indica like emergence of this particular lady. Wonder if she will smoke like a sativa. Be nice finding out. The OA is 4ft to top(with root pot) and the MD is 3ft but both are very wide. they are both producing a nice amount of dust, so all in all I'm happy with this setup. A few tweaks here and there and all is good. Using nutes every 2 waters now. Soil is 6.6/7ph. You would be surprised how much energy it uses/draws from its leaves as they start going past middle age towards the end of their life cycle as the leaves yellow. They can refuse to take a lot of certain nutes through the roots at this stage of life.

How long was he flower time on the original ammo my friend???

Do the leaves on the ammo plant feel slightly rougher than the avradge plant??
I am 30days in to a ammo grow from seed under 450watt led 210 actual draw full spectrum. I find my fan leaves are slightly stiff is this normal or have I over water her
