Molasses can kill.

If you over do it. Found that out. I dosed a plant with 3 tbl spoons to a quart of water. 24 hours later super nitrogen OD. All the leaves burned themselves up.

The microbiology in the soil released enormous amounts of nitrogen. I might add that I did not give the plant any nutrients. I know how to grow. lol

Stick with a tbl spoon per gallon and you'll be fine. More isn't always better.

It just really sucks because the plant was 2 weeks into flowering. Got like 6 grams off of it when I gutted her.

i thank that plant for taking one for the team in the name of science and knowledge.

may she rest in pieces.

are you sure the PH didn't skyrocket and that cause the problems. Adding that much sugar would cause most of your microbes to go on a meth crazed feeding binge.

I think you should do some reading on the sugar thing. Plants can only take up a very small amount of supplemental sugar. More sugar in solution, doesn't help at all.. as you found out.

Foliar dude, foliar feeding is where it is at for both sugars and amino acids.

I should have taken pictures, but it was nitrogen Od. Atleast that is what killed it first. It may have affected the PH but I didn't see that. Like I said all leaves were done within 24 hours.

Interesting. So did they just burn up and brown out? Seems odd that they would just up and die so quickly, even with super nitrogen levels they would at least take a couple days no?

except molasses is a nutrient and is high in potassium

lol my point was that I didn't add any extra nitrogen. I've seen plants with Nitrogen toxicity more than once guy. I am not some neeeewwwb. lol
