More Experience and Quality Seed

I tried growing rag seed this past summer, but it was horrible. So, I've simplified, learned a bit, and have some quality seeds. Here are some pics, so far. They are just over 3 weeks from seeding.

yeh, maybe water them a little more.
they look nice tho.
no no no,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, no more water.. i see the lowest leafs on your plants are yellowing towards the tips.. good indication of overwaterd seedlings. your plant should be stood up proudly. hold off water for 2 days and also if possible get them small cfls u got with in inches from the plants . and with low heat bulbs like that i would hold off misting them as the roots will now provide enough water for the plant. maybee mist once or twice a week for a bit of realisim. also next grow u do start seedlings in 0.5l pots and work your way up the sizes make your plants a good root ball and they will reward u..
hope this is ov use m8

There are also factor that could influence..... what kind of soil are you using? are you pH ing your water? Sometimes in pots that big and some kinds of soil (that don't drain well) the small plan doesn't have time to absorb all the water in the soil before the next watering... i suggest you find smaller pots for the beginning of the vegging cycle, and then transplant once it has a strong root system, this will only happen if you allow the roots to reach and "search" for more water in the soil ! Make sure that the pH is also right....That is just my little contribution... Hope it helps!

I would not transplant them, once you get dialed in they will grow fast. ph could be the main factor here. You say you just watered, well did they pick up any?

Alright, good stuff, folks. Firstly, I did not seed them in the 10 inch pots. I use a 2" x 2" soil blocker, which I use for my organic vegetable farm. Due to the nature of the plants and my organic seeding soil, they were necessarily transfered (with the soil block, of course) about a week ago. Two inches by two inches does not provide much for a growing plant. So, instead of going from a 2" to a 4" to a 10", I just went to a 10". Secondly, got pics from this morning. And, yes, they did bounce back. I know I'm not overwatering, and last night was just immediately after watering. Here are some pics from this morning to contrast last night. Thirdly, I know CFL's should be only a few inches from the plant, but with the mylar they simply are not stretching at this stage. And, frankly, I don't mind a little stretching in the veggie stage since I have a cellar. Nothing wrong with 8 foot plants with me. It's the flowering stage I'm concerned about the stretching and the tightness of the buds. But at that stage all the lights will be close enough as they grow. Fourthly, I don't know what the pH is. I don't have any more testers, yet. I'll pick some up in the next week. I'm using a potting soil from Lowes (the seeding soil was my own creation). I can't remember the name (too many bowls between then and now), but it's a big blue bag with minimal nitrogen so I can control it better. I had bad nitrogen burn in the flowering stage the last time.

Oh, and regards to wattage of lighting, I have four 600W CFLs and four 100W CFLs. So, you're pretty darn close with 3000W. But with eight plants or nine plants and using CFL's instead of HPS, I genuinely think 350W of CFL per plant is not too much, but just about right (eight plants under 3000W). In fact, I wouldn't mind putting another 100W over each plant.
