LAREDO, Tx.- Customs and Border Protection inspectors seized a cargo of 42 kilos of marijuana from a woman. The incident was registered at one of the boothes on the Juárez-Lincoln international bridge when the woman arrived in a Ford Explorer truck.
Customs agents decided to send the vehicle to secondary and a trained canine gave alert immediately towards the spare tire as well as the gas tank.
Authorities found 30 plastic packages with the x ray scanner that contained 42 kilos of marijuana with a street value of 70,000 dollars.
When the woman was interrogated she stated that she was intending to transport the drug into the U.S for a payment of 800 dollars.
