To SLO County CA Members:
I'm new to this group. I came on to announce to any "Central Coasters" seeing this in time:

Morro Bay's City Council will be discussing a proposed amendment to its municipal code to add a chapter regarding "Medical Marijuana Collectives." The meeting is THIS MONDAY, MARCH 8, at 6:00 pm at the Vets Hall, 209 Surf St. in Morro Bay.

Morro Bay is the ONE jurisdiction in SLO County that has shown and continues to show any real potential ongoing support for allowing a dispensary or 2 in its city. (This is where Charles Lynch had his dispensary, which was raided NOT by Morro Bay Police Dept., but by our vendetta-driven County Sheriff acting outside his jurisdiction.) A temporary moratorium went into effect after the raid (unlike the other SLO County cities which have passed or are passing permanent moratoriums).

Among attendees at the MB City Council meeting on Feb. 2, 15 people got up and spoke in favor of the proposed ordinance, and only 1 person spoke in opposition! This is in stark contrast to the Community Advisory Group meeting just prior in unincorporated Nipomo, which was overwhelmed by negative speakers.

If you can make it, please come to the meeting and show your support (in a respectful manner: e.g. no applause or other noise after a speaker's comment).

The March 8 meeting is an "Introduction and First Reading" since the draft was presented on Feb. 2. Thus it is not the final action. The more we can show support for this Ordinance, the better the chance that patients in SLO County will FINALLY have a dispensary location again where they can go to obtain their medication allowed under State law.

I hope to see you there this Monday!

Keeping the faith~~
