Here's some interesting facts about the Iranian plane incident -

1. There were two top Iranian nuclear scientists on the plane.

2. There were multiple planes that took off both before and after the plane went down

3. Air defense systems work by looking far far away to identify targets, not close to the ground taking off.

4. MANPADS - surface to Air missiles are very portable and by the size of the explosion looks to be what it was

5. Someone just happened to be filming from the exact area sand direction the missile was fired from?

6. What would Iran have to gain by killing their own civilians?

Clearly this was Mossad, Israels spy agency

It wasn't hit by a missile, seeing as it tried to return to the airport and if it was hit by one that would not be possible, it would have blown up in the air.
Total propaganda in my opinion.

The "missile" just had to detonate near the aircraft like the one that brought down the 777 over the Ukraine. I think the issue is/was that the 737 was not very high so I didn't implode like the 777 at 30K feet. Just speculation, not an expert.
