Thanks for reading,

Not the most convienient space that's for sure.
Currently have a 4x16 x 8ft tall space with filter 400cfm fan exhaust on one end and filtered air intake on the other 3 hid's spaced evenly 400w 1000w and 400w currently on ebb n flow but switching to newly constructed 5 buckets 1.5 ft apart rdwc chilled through a mini fridge. I did this to gain back some vertical space.
80f average room temp humidity can get high at times, water cool to the touch, and I'm going to add tomato gates to try and spread them out. Any tips or advice on maximizing yields in such a awkward space?

yeah stick with indica based plants, get some co2 if your going to be keeping room temp at 80F, get rid of the (2) 400 and have (2) 1000 if flower and T5 in veg. I'd do a 70/30 split or flower/veg or something like that. , if you have to go down and plant count because of space that's fine just veg longer so they get bigger when your ready to flower.. That's my two sense on what I'd do..

Where are the rest of the plants? you should look into organic soil, it produces better tasting buds from what i've heard anyways. its not that hard to mix the soil either its like baking a cake. it helps to follow a recipe to some degree at least. I mention soil because it looks like a mess in there with all the cords.

for some reason that picture didn't show up when I posted my thread, but yea I agree with with BeastGrow it's a mess in there and I'd stick with soil. It will give you more room. I'd still suggest spliting the room in half because you'll still need a flower room seperate from veg.

I would use 4x6 for a veg area with the two 400's
Buy another 1000 and use two of them to cover a nice 4x10 flower room. Maybe 18 in flower with 18 in the veg area. Two months of veg rinse repeat will deliver a nice return. For maximum yield u could make 3x5 flood tables n sog it with 100 plants but it would be alot more work.
