Haven't heard of mult vapor but
(MH) METAL HALIDE LAMP - A high-intensity-discharge lamp in which the light is produced by arcing electricity through a mixture of metal halides. The light produced by metal halide lamps is in the white-blue spectrum, which encourages vegetative growth and "bushiness" while discouraging upward growth. This is the bulb to use in the first, vegetative phase of plant growth.
(MV) MERCURY VAPOUR LAMPS - The oldest member of the HID family, mercury vapour lamps work by arcing electricity through mercury vapour. While more efficient than incandescent, halogen and fluorescent lamps, mercury vapour lamps are the least effective of the entire HID family. This, combined with an improper colour spectrum for horticultural applications, makes mercury vapour lamps a poor choice for a grow light.

I guess its a Metal Halide it says it on the box cover, it just has multi vapor after it. Its probably a mix between the two. MH and MV.

it is a new bulb created by ge for warehouse lamps that more faithfully reproduces quasi-real light. It has the benefits of MH (white /blue) and hps (red Orange). here's the graph that ge made.
I'm not sure where you are or how you came into contact with that bulb but make sure you check the ballast it is attached to because they usually put them in high end fixtures that have multitap ballasts and some systems are omniuse. meaning you can go from mh-hps-mv-hpf if you would like to purchase some of these that have already been converted let me know. I can get a system with multitap, omniuse, with multivapor included and an 18,22, or 36 in. sealed dome.
