these are the 3 mother plants under a 600 watt light.

the one on the left is the platinum cookies, the one in the far right in the rear is the platinum master kush, and the one closest to the camera is the sfv og.

thank you hlusaf, i appreciate it.
i've had the mothers going for a bit now, just been training them, but i do have an issue that developed recently. i'll send you guys some pics, maybe you can help me out. the plants are super healthy, the issue is that the lower portions of the plants are just dying off. not because of it being weak or anything. i honestly think it's some kind of fungus? maybe. the plant is healthy, but it's losing bottom growth for no reason at all. the leaves are still moist, but flimsy as shit and it looks a little diseased. i'm thinking it's this issue here, my man canabalistickid on youtube discusses it.

i'll snap some pictures and show you what im talking about.

I am definitely happy with the way this grow is coming out except this stupid disease that has effected my platinum cookie mother, i've lost a lot of the bottom growth. I know it's good to lollipop the plants, but it wasn't on purpose, lol. I have sprayed the plants with a mixture of 1 tbsp of baking soda 1 tbsp of dish soap and 2 tbsp of organicide/gal and it seems to have worked so far. I will continue to provide maintenance, but hopefully it's only preventative. Aside from that one issue, the plants are blowing up, looking lovely and healthy. just overall a great grow. check it out. noticeable growth on a daily basis. When they start to advance in the flower cycle, i will give more in depth and specific plant pics. thank you and can't wait to indulge in these ladies

I forgot to mention!!!!!! I have also thrown in 2 LA OG plants.
let me tell you why; I do not want to continue these genetics any further. I acquired this genetic from a close friend, who has grown it for years and has always produced amazing product. This is definitely a potent potent strain, but I can no longer grow it and have it in my collection. I have noticed a very funky attribute of this genetic, and that is any time the strain gets root bound, or a clone taken, or any major stress to the plant, it will auto flower. Not the whole plant, but if i take a clone from a branch, that branch will start to flower. it's weird and i dont have room for weird genetics. just dont want to deal with it, so I am throwing them into flower and going to smoke it out the collection. Only danks that are headache free make the cut, lol.

Thanks for watching.

Jane are you getting any light penetration down low with your mother plants? maybe a few 6500k 40 watt cfl around the lower parts of the plant might help. the plant will make sure its tops are fed first and if the lower leaves are not getting light they starve. that would be my guess.
Love and Peace

Thank you! yea, they are definitely some strong ladies there. I am definitely happy with the way this grow is turning out. I forgot to mention that the gsc mother that was having issues is out now. I couldn't exactly figure out what the problem is, but it was clearly diseased in some way. It started on the mother and really took it's toll, so i got rid of it before it starts to do anything weird to the other plants. I got more than enough cuts off her while she was growing, so no love lost, she carried her weight around here. I'm sure it is my fault through my inexperience that she did not survive, but it's ok. you live and learn, although i wish i could have had an expert to lead me in the right direction. Thankfully everything remaining is in perfect overall health and will continue to thrive as i am doing more environmental maintenance. lol. wish me luck friends

update***
so i have recently learned that magnetic ballasts are a complete waste of energy
i was using a 1000watt magnetic ballast to power the light above the pmk/pre98 side, and i noticed the light output looks dim in comparison to the sfv/gsc side
so i took a light meter to it and what do you know, the magnetic side puts out way less light
so i took the magnetic ballast and replaced it with a 600 watt digital ballast and i swear to god the 600 digital puts out more light than the 1000w magnetic. so now, im only running (1)600(1)1000(1)600@75%power. a total of 2050 watts in the flower room.

I like how you casually say only 2050 watts like it isnt much. yeah my 300-400 watts ill be pushing is allot of light to me well for a few plants will be enough.

lol, right on. that makes me feel like i'm doing something right. I have the typical 12-12, and since it's really cold out here at night, the lights come on at midnight and stay on til noon. I don't run any ac this time of year, i just intake from natural air. temps are around 60-75. since it's not a sealed environment, i don't run co2 either. just intake natural air :). I usually run different nutes, but in this grow I used 4 gallons of happy frog soil, so the medium is already charged with nutes to a certain extent. and honestly aside from that, i just run a 2 part from vitagrow nutes. the powder stuff. part A is something like 14-24-32 or something, and the bloom booster is a 0-54-34 or something like that. it's not in front of me to see it, but it's a good non-organic nutrient to add in to the soil. i also add in raw amino acids once a week to the nutrient base. that's it for me atm. i like to Keep it simple for now, because of funds... or lack thereof... otherwise i'd be adding kelp and molasses and really focusing on organics, teas and so on. i have a preferred recipe i use personally for the best results, but for now, i have these extra nutes, and i don't want them to waste.

Damn u got some fine strains. Where u pick up the platinum cookies? Im around inland empire myself.

thank you, I really do have some amazing strains though, which is the main factor aside from overall health in getting quality product. This cookie cut came from dark heart nurseries (dhn cut) from san jose. A buddy of mine went up there to get it and was kind enough to share it with me. I do clones out here in the inland empire if you're interested in getting the cut. i'm not some huge clone service or n e thing like that, no washed out genetics, but i provide clones to a few people to help pay for the grows. if you're interested just pm me, if you're a legit dude, we can make it happen. i'm not spamming or n e thing like that, but if you want it, i can help u out.
