Man you need to be careful when it comes to fungus. Some mushrooms look like good ones, when they’re not. You have to do some research, which involves reading, to be as safe as you can.

We used to pick them across highway 101 from Youngs Bay Plaza next to the airport in Warrenton Oregon. South down 101 to Tillamook are many other spots. They are illegal these days but before they were you had to worry about farmers chasing you out of their fields. They came armed so you got the hell out of there and didn't argue. We also picked them across the Columbia River outside of Vancouver Washington but those fields are all apartments and strip malls now. We'd pick psilocybe semilanceata aka Liberty Caps mostly but would run into patches of psilocybe baeocystis aka Bluebells.
Here is the location in Warrenton we would pick at. Left of the runway. Probably not the closest location but they grow there.
