Mutant plant

The "mutant" is one of three really sad excuses for seeds I found in a bag. I didn't have high hopes but I also dont have many options. I germanated 2 in a paper towle, when they popped I put them both in rockwool. 2 days later the "mutant" shot crazy high and the other sprouted but hasn't done any growing since. I places the mutant in a dwc set up so I could lower the stem and the hight of the plant. Since then there hasn't been much height growth. But still seems to be doing well and growing.

The third I didn't start it was that saddest of the three. So for shits and giggles I just pushed it into some mericalgrow any put it in the germination dome. So far that one looks and has grown the most "normal" it looks perfect really. Problem is this is my first grow, I did all my research on growing dwc, and I have no idea what to do with the soil.

Right now the mutant is under a t5 grow light until next payday when I can buy a new led light. The one I have is just a 45w led and I'm worried it's not going to be enough until I can get at least a 300w led

Well I will say this. Growing bagseed seed will not always give you the best results. Good genetics = Better growth. Knowing what your growing always is better. Under the right conditions of course.

Give the new led a shot, but the t5s should be fine for early growth.

Also be patient, this seedling looks quite healthy.

I feel you on the quality of the seed and genetics. I just have tried and tried to get some good seeds and. Well I'm growing bag seeds so I'm sure that answers it lol

Sometimes you can get lucky with a bag seed and get a good grow if you tend to it properly. Course, bag seeds are perfect for practicing too.
Looks like that one is doing fine and well on her way to being a healthy monster. You're already past the hardest part, least in my opinion. The germ/sprout phase. After that you can do a lot and they'll keep on trucking, don't believe me? Just look at my "stumpy"

My plant now almost to week 7 of Flower started out the same way. It grew 3 fan leaves at each node thus giving 3 shoots per node as well. Since I'm scrogging, the extra shoots really helped out a lot! Only the main stem had 3 fan leaves per node though. Every branch/shoot grew the normal 2 per. Gl hope its a girl!IMG_20160114_122359275.jpg IMG_20160118_163647354.jpg IMG_20160204_105707.jpg IMG_20160318_143906300.jpg
