My 1st grow

Hi all

Feel free to comment, offer advice etc

This is my 1st time growing, atm have got 10 skunk mix on day 19 of veg, all in my grow box, under 600w hps, With both fans running & an oscalating fan to aid air movement & thicken stems

( they look a little yellow in the pics due to the light I'm using)

yeh there looking good,shame you dont have a mh bulb in there,quickens growth in vegging coz blue lights better for leaf growth and red for flower growth but there still coming along nicely,cant wait to see the end results,,,,,,peace

Thanx, yes I love it my OH treated me to it lol,
I'm using Canna terra atm, I started my germinated seeds off in John inns no1 with 25% perlite, they did really well in that

Ok, I gave them there 2nd nutes yesterday, I'm using 1/2 rec dose of canna terra vega, & the fresh undergrowth on them this morning is really noticeble, they also now have their first 7 point leaves !

They are seedsman skunk mix, just wanted to try something simple for my 1st grow, next time round I'm gonna try my hand at bubblicious & caramella

hope your days going well, just wanted to stop by and say your plants are looking very happy, keep up what your doing! What kind of nutes are you going to use for flower? I'd suggest using any Foxfarm products, they are very good for the mixture of soil you are using. Keep me updated

I already picked up the canna terra flora nutes & also have their pk 13 14,
I'm gonna put them into flower the day after tommorrow, will try the 24hrs of darkness 1st, starting tonight.
My temps keep rising aswell, even tho I constantly have the window open, it doesn't seem to help

I'm gonna have to try & come up with a solution

I'm doing good today, I start my flowering next week and am super excited! I can't wait to start seeing your girls to start maturing! You'll definently have to keep me posted on what they look like as the weeks go by! How tall are they right now? What is your ventilation like? You should probably throw another oscilating fan and point it towards your light if temps are getting to high. You should probably get a blow fan hooked to an exhaust tube and run it out of your window so smell and heat can escape. Let me know what's going on! Hope to hear from ya soon!

hey Grassgirl, nice job on the setup, I,m in my 1 month of flowering and I use canna aqua vega and aqua flores great stuff , have to say like everyone and say that ur maticulous way of working will get you an awesome yield i think , its an extremely clean and simple setup, congrats, and happy growing oh yeah and if it develops into this sort of obsession thing after a while well know that its normal and bienvenidos in the family ....lol

just a quick question, what sort of intake and exhaust are you using?

They are looking nice! Very stout! Fat bottom girls! (not to sound sexist) but hope the are are all girls. (hope that went over with nothing but humor)

How high did you have that 600W HPS? From sprouting to now?
I'm thinking of a 400W HPS for my BloomRoom and then just CFL's / T5's for the veg/cloning room.


On another note, you got a variety pack of seeds? Where? Did they label them individually (per strain)?

Hey, looking back, I see you are about to put them into flowering. Have they given pre-flowers? That seems to be the 'key' to me if they are ready for flowering (and also can save on space). (clones is a different story)

Hi Toolage, sorry it's taken so long to reply, I've decided to wait a while longer for flowering now,
I already have that, thanx tho here's some pics of my ventalation

I've found putting my fan in front of the inlet hose helps cool them too

From sprouting I just had them in the window for a week I then put them in the tent with the light around a metre above them & lowered it a little every 2 days, I now have it 50cm above them.
Yes, the seeds were just the easiest to lay my hands on, they weren't individualy labelled just all in one packet, they are now starting to show dif characteristics in height etc
Yes I've decided to wait a little longer for flowering, I have noticed some tiny growths on them which I'm thinking could be preflowers, I'm not sure tho, I'll just wait & see - I can't really get a good pic of them

Day 31 from sprout
They're getting so big !!

It's looking like a minature jungle in there !

They're starting to show dif characteristics now, some are taller & less bushy, others are short & fat

Not really been doing anything different I water or nute them every other day & they're thriving :
