my challenge to the right wing ideologies

the politics sections has threads dating back to before the 2006 elections.

my challenge is for you to find your fellow right wing ideologues bitching and moaning about the debt bush was running up.

the challenge has been issued.

simply click on the "last" button in the upper right or click this https://www.rollitup.org/politics/index323.html.

i expect you will have no problem finding a litany of threads from fellow righties bitching and moaning about bush's unfunded wars, prescription drug plan, numerous debt ceiling increases, calls for default, revolution, and the like.

go!

10 pages through, not a single thread devoted to the debt ceiling, debt, runaway spending by bush and the republican congress, etc etc etc

compare that to the most recent 10 pages.

what gives? why be so apathetic about a 12 trillion dollar debt, yet so vocal about a 14 trillion dollar debt?

did your commanders, the koch brothers and dick armey, have THAT MUCH success using you all as their pawns?

i'm still going, not a single thread devoted to the debt, the deficit, the debt ceiling, bush's out of control spending, etc.

there are 6 on the first page

why the sudden concern? was 10-12 trillion chump change, yet 14 trillion is armageddon?

what gives?

think I will go back in history of RIU politics to go quote hunting...
you will find a few from viredd minimizing the importance of such. please post them!

but the point is not to see right wing ideologues like him minimizing the issue, it is to find just ONE that viewed it as a concern back then, before the bi-racial democrat got into office.

i may do a thesis on obama derangement syndrome if we compile enough data

I could care less what color the guys skin is, he's an idiot and the people that voted for him are even bigger idiots.
I think the guy who called the idiots idiots for voting for an idiot and his idiot ideals is an idiot. Do you concur?

Alex Jones was on and on about the money, I was against the spending under Bush. I think I think both sides are way off. Register Republican, vote Paul in primarys,- we need a new ideological center

i don't give two shits about what you CLAIM to have been against back then.

i want to see empirical evidence that like-minded people DID say the same thing back then.

so far we have a big fat NADA. ZILCH. ZIP. ZERO.

everyone claims they were just as up in arms back then, but the EVIDENCE is clearly lacking.

get to work.

At least someone was smart enough to know spending more wasn't the answer.

Four whole posts before the race card was played.
Wow
go ahead and disprove me.

find me the threads and posts where people were hysteric about our 12 trillion dollar (and counting) debt before the new guy got into office.

perhaps it is not race that motivates the sudden hysteria, perhaps it is that right wing ideologues are the unthinking puppets of their koch brother controllers, maybe it is both. just hazarding a guess.

i have evidence for days about why race really is an issue, but i'd rather you just show me the evidence that right wingers were concerned about the debt back when the white guy was in office.

It is inevitable that the race card shows up in these threads - I was just waiting to see whom would put it on the table first.

Just to be clear, when Bush took office the debt was $5.7 trillion, when he left it was $10.6 trillion. After 2 1/2 years with Obama it is 14 and change and looks like we will hit just under $17 trillion by the end of his term (at least 16 and change).

I think the reason you won't find much complaining about the debt going up from conservatives during Bush, is because times were good (they sure as hell were for me) and we were at war. Not a good excuse but certainly an explanation. I'm fairly certain there was some railing on Bush on RIU at the end of his term for the bailouts and such. When the shit hit the fan, late in '08, right before Obama took office, that's when the worm turned...not because Obama is black. It's a stupid argument.

I can only speak for myself, but I was sickened by the last year of Bush, but for completely different reasons than you were. Then Obama comes along with a super majority and an interest in using it to forward legislation that goes against what most conservatives (notice I didn't put Republicans) want for this country. And to be perfectly clear, the animosity for Obama still doesn't even come close to the flagrant hatred shown for Bush by the Lefties. I guess I could find a couple of thousand photos demonstrating that, but frankly I just don't care enough to waste the time.

how much of the debt accrued under obama is directly due to policies put in place under bush?

:dunce:

i still don't see anything from anyone that even barely relates to what we see now. hypocrites all of you, until you find me the threads and quotes.
